It may not be the book for big Non Profits but it is for small to middle NP's
I'm only 25% my way through this book but it was really good at providing me withmarketing ideas and how to steer a marketing plan for the charity I work for.It may not be the book for big organizations who are doing everything right and may need specific ways to grow even further but this is a great book not just for beginners but also for those who are going into a marketing role whether it is a big organsiation or a small one. Also for a book written a few years ago, the ideas and contents are still quite relevant.I do not agree with the 1 star review under this book that she keep referring you to her website, I haven no idea what her blog or website is until.I looked for it myself. However, she gives plenty of references to other material as any good book would. What is more important is identifying how big or small your business already is and what kind of marketing you are doing. But even if you have been using content marketing for a while, there are still some tips and ideas that will come in handy for improvement.Overall, so far this book is serving the purpose I bought this book.

The Next Great Addition
This book is worth the purchase for many reasons, and here are a few of the main ones:- It approaches content marketing in a new and refreshing way for nonprofits- It is interactive via its discussion sections that can help you bring Miller's advice to life in your organization- It has great tables, definition bubbles, and summary figures to help you understand what was said- It follows Miller's past book, The Nonprofit Marketing Guide, perfectlyThere is only one thing I find to be a problem with the book...- It is a dense read in the beginning. Miller warns us about that, but I still found it hard to get through. The information is important, but it's also pretty boring. In her defense, Miller does make up for it by making the rest of the book very worthwhile.Regardless of the negative qualities I and others are saying about the book, it is worthy of your time and purchase regardless. Give it a shot. I bet you will not regret it.

Well written, great and useful content
One of the best books I've read on content marketing, apt, useful content that can be used by any nonprofit. Tie the tips, pointers, into your overall strategy and you're bound to hit a jackpot.Recommended to anyone working in the nonprofit sector keen to capture, engage and build an audience that will act.

Reading Part I was like reading about the "shotgun" approach that we have been ...
As a director of a small ($500K or less budget overall) nonprofit, I have to say that Kivi's philosophy about marketing was mind-blowing. Reading Part I was like reading about the "shotgun" approach that we have been executing for some time. No more. This book will be the guidebook and foundation for organizational change when it comes to our communications.

Trust me - you need this!
If you work at a nonprofit org, this will open your eyes about how your work can be part of the broader conversation or help you refine what you're doing in a concerted, thoughtful way. I refer to it daily and happily subscribe to Kivi's paid All Access Pass. Definitely glad to have it in hard copy and not on Kindle (like all 'reference' type books, for me). GET IT!!! :)

Love Kivi's Work
I've been following her work online, in books since seeing her at a local conference in upstate NY a few years ago. Always a fresh look at sometimes old ideas, but full of new ideas as well! I find her approach so easy to follow and understand. She speaks to the every woman/man....not just those with phDs in Marketing, etc.Highly recommend.

Not Just For Non-Profits
Great read, clear presentation of the ideas that are most helpful for anyone who hopes to do content marketing, not just non-profits. I plan to use this material as a virtual checklist as I prepare my own content marketing website.

Eh....
I flipped through this but found a lot of it to be a little too remedial for me. This would be a good book if you are starting from scratch, but not necessarily for someone like myself who already has a strategy in place but is just looking for some fresh ideas.

Practical, yet inspiring material
Being new to the non-profit sector and marketing, this book has become my new best friend. Every page, and I mean EVERY page, has practical tips, strategies and information that I've been able to implement immediately. Not only is this book making my job easier, but I know that our organization is also going to reap the benefits of Miller's knowledge.
