Quiet, Pretty, Easy to Use. My Hands and Eyes Love This Keyboard!
I have tried a lot of keyboards, from high end to budget, trying to find the right one. I am not a gamer. I primarily write papers for school, so I need something comfortable, quiet, and easy to type on. The HyperX Alloy Core RGB is the first keyboard that immediately felt right. It is quiet, comfortable, and very easy to type on. The RGB looks amazing, and the controls are simple and located in the top left corner. This keyboard is plug and play. No software is needed for any of the lighting controls. The brightness button is the top left key and cycles through off, low, and high. The middle button switches through the built in lighting modes. These include solid color, fade, zones, rolling rainbow, quick flash, fast color cycle, and more. The third button is Game Mode. FN and F12 lock the keyboard itself. The keyboard has a good height and feels stable. The keys seemed slippery at first, but they feel normal now. I did a quick typing test and reached 52 WPM with 100 percent accuracy after only a few minutes of using it. The keyboard has feet on the bottom so you can tilt it slightly. The dedicated media keys and volume buttons on the top right are convenient. The braided USB cord feels durable. The color is exactly as pictured. The keyboard is quiet, comfortable, and has a great typing feel. I have only had it a short time and I am already considering buying a backup. This is a great keyboard for anyone who wants quiet keys, easy controls, strong RGB, and a comfortable typing experience.

Wonderfully Surprised
I've tried several mechanical keyboards looking for a good keyboard for both work and gaming, but this one ended up being the best for me. And at a fraction of the price! Its build quality is extremely nice. The lighting is noticeably very bright and vivid. It's a bit large, which doesn't bother me as I have the desk space, and I prefer that for work. The keys feel really good. They feels like just the right amount of resistance pressing them down. No accidental presses for work, but still light enough for gaming. Factor in the price, and this is just a steal. I can't recommend it enough. Needless to say I was very surprised to find my favorite keyboard to be this membrane keyboard in the end. I'm definitely keeping this one, and if it holds up, I'll be using it for years to come.

Bright colors.
I got the HyperX Alloy Core RGB Keyboard, and I am genuinely impressed with the combination of affordability, functionality, and vibrant RGB lighting that this keyboard brings to the table. Designed with gamers and casual users in mind, the Alloy Core RGB stands out as an excellent choice for those seeking a feature-packed keyboard without breaking the bank. The first thing that caught my attention was the keyboard's striking RGB backlighting. The customizable lighting effects add a touch of personality to my setup, allowing me to match the keyboard's illumination with my mood or gaming environment. The vibrant colors and dynamic lighting patterns, easily controlled through dedicated keys, make the Alloy Core RGB an aesthetic delight. Typing on the HyperX Alloy Core RGB is a satisfying experience. The membrane key switches offer a responsive and tactile feel without the audible click of mechanical switches. The quiet keystrokes are ideal for shared spaces or late-night gaming sessions where noise might be a concern. The full-sized layout with a numeric keypad ensures versatility for both gaming and productivity tasks. The dedicated media controls are a practical addition, allowing me to adjust volume, playback, and lighting settings on the fly without interrupting my gaming or work. The inclusion of quick access buttons for lighting customization and a Game Mode that disables the Windows key during gameplay further enhances the keyboard's user-friendly design. Durability is a notable feature of the HyperX Alloy Core RGB. The sturdy build, reinforced plastic frame, and spill-resistant design add a layer of reliability, ensuring the keyboard can withstand the rigors of daily use. The matte finish on the keycaps contributes to a comfortable feel and prevents fingerprints, maintaining a clean and professional look. Setting up the HyperX Alloy Core RGB is a breeze. The plug-and-play functionality ensures a straightforward installation, and the detachable USB cable provides flexibility for cable management. The keyboard is compatible with both Windows and macOS systems, making it versatile for a variety of users. While the Alloy Core RGB lacks the mechanical switches found in higher-end keyboards, it compensates with a budget-friendly price point and a quieter typing experience. The compromise in switch type might be a trade-off for some enthusiasts, but for those seeking an affordable and visually appealing gaming keyboard, the Alloy Core RGB delivers outstanding value.

Fantastic keyboard with some issues
Before I start, I am coming from a history of generally awful keyboards. Free ones from work or with pre built PCs. This keyboard feels so much more expensive than it is. I got it for $36 and bought a 2nd one within 24 hours of using it. The good: vibrant colors for the RGB. Rock solid build quality. Feels like it's solid metal (it's not). No key cap wiggle. Every keystroke is sturdy and deliberate. Keyboard is fairly tall and perfectly lined up with my rosewill(from newegg) wrist rest. Rightly woven braided cable that won't shred easily. Keys have a slight rubber texture and it makes my autism so happy. The bad: this keyboard is MASSIVE. check the specifications before purchasing. It's taller than my old keyboard, wider and has more depth. It's also quite heavy for a keyboard. The lights are needed to see the keys, black on black was an awful idea. The lighting control options are solid red, various rainbows and some breathing colors. It sucks they push you to download the software. Over all I'm in love still with his keyboard and buying a 2nd one while it's still on sale. This keyboard plus the hyper x cloud core headphones I've used for years has made me really like this brand.

Looks Perfect! Could not be any happier!
I had to take a break from my job to write this because I am just so impressed. I am NOT being compensated by anyone for writing this. Short Version: It's well built, heavy, and the keystrokes are very smooth. The keys are quiet, not silent, and are lit up very nicely. It has greatly exceeded my expectations, and I will be actively recommending this to my family and friends. Long Version: So I've only used this keyboard for about an hour and, unless it suffers some type of catastrophic failure, this will be the only brand of keyboard I buy ever again. Immediately after picking this package up off of my doorstep I could tell this was a heavy, well-built unit, unlike my previous keyboard. Tangent! My last keyboard was purchased from another online retailer that maybe more specializes in computers and Black November sales. I was used to the standard stock keyboards I could get for $5-10, and that was fine. I decided to make the plunge into gaming keyboards, but quickly realized lots of them do not get good reviews or look any different than a cheap keyboard with lights behind it. I didn't want some cheaply made unit, so I tried to spend a tiny bit more for a nice one. However the one I paid for was very lightweight, cheaply made, and wobbly. I am in the process of returning it. I'm also currently arguing that this was defective as well. Hopefully I can avoid the restocking fee, but even if I can't I am so happy I made the choice to come to the more trustworthy Amazon to find a better unit. Ok, got that off my chest. This unit is so sturdy, so smooth, so bright, so...I am so relieved I have found a good keyboard. There are different lighting modes that make the keyboard fun to use, but most of all, it seems very functionally sound. I paid $40 for this, and if I knew how much better it would be than my previous keyboards, I would've paid more. Now there could certainly be better keyboards on the market. They better be at the prices some companies charge. For the price though, this was an excellent deal. You will not be disappointed in this purchase, especially if you have previously dealt with the cheaply made light up keyboards. Is this a perfect unit? Maybe actually, but a couple things are intially making me rate this a mere 99/100. At first glance I wasn't sure why the keys had their "shift alternatives" right next to the regular output. The semicolon/colon key and the apostrophe/quote key look a little confusing at first glance. Not a big issue, but it does seem weird. The other thing I noticed was that the keys are higher up than my previous, flatter keyboard, perhaps due to the heft of the unit. I don't think this is a major problem, but the wrist pad I'm expecting to arrive tomorrow may end up being a great complement to this keyboard. If any of my thoughts change, I will update this review. For now though, HyperX is going to be the first place I go to when I need new PC components.

Everything I was Looking For
I got this keyboard when I was originally building my PC and I don't think I will ever go to another. When I was originally building my PC I was looking for a keyboard that was approachable, affordable, and aesthetically pleasing to me. The keyboard fits into all three of the boxes. The keyboard is easy to connect to the PC using just one USB port. It also does not require a large amount of space because it is not too bulky. Even though it is not bulky it is still decently sized which allows it to not move with any sudden movement. It also has many different buttons that make the useability super approachable. It has buttons to turn the volume up, down, or off all together. It also has the number keypad which is so nice because I didn't want a keyboard without one. It also has buttons to change the colors on the keyboards which I will get into towards the end. The keyboard also just feels so crisp whenever I am typing. I hear the noises and just feel so satisfied because it just scratches a certain itch in my brain. The keyboard even with all of these perks also is very affordable compared to its competitors. I have tried other keyboards that were cheaper, but this one just feels right. Lastly, the aesthetic factor. I was looking for something that would fit my vision of a high school gaming setup and it just did that. It has many different colors like rainbow, colors fading in and out, and solid colors, which I just love. My keyboard recently broke after a few years, so I just had to buy another. Totally recommend getting this keyboard!

Fantastic
UPDATE: 3/31/2025 8 months later, after hours of daily hammer-typing, the backspace key has subtly shifted. It still works, but it feels different when pressed and the sound is off, different from every other key. Not taking this as a good sign. Considering the price went up since I bought it, this may be bad news. But, time will tell. I installed a black keyboard tray on my black desk, in my dark office, only to realize--surprise--I couldn't see the keys. I've had Chroma keyboards before, most full-out gaming keyboards, but I wanted to try something new, and this one is actually great. 30 bucks and it's not only weighted to not slide around (important for a fast typist), but just clicky enough to feel responsive without being annoying. The media keys are another reason I wanted this one, and they work great. Tested on both Youtube and Spotify so far, even using VDI for work, it still does what I tell it to. Couldn't be happier. Note about the lights: they're great. Lights can be controlled by a row of buttons at the top-left, and can be set to cycle, or stay on a solid color, which you can change by pressing FN and the arrow keys. On top of that, you can dim or even turn off the glow, which is an option I've never been given before on one of these. I'm rocking the purple currently and it's quite nice. If there were any downsides, it'd be that turning off the keyboard backlight leaves you with semi-transparent letters, which aren't super visible. Not a problem for me but others might not like it. I was also a little annoyed that the media keys aren't lit, and they're well in the dark on my keyboard tray. But this is not a deal breaker.

Very nice, lit keyboard for pc gaming with a good price.
Lighted keyboard, red lights. Can strobe or remain lit. Used for gaming, it's quite and works very good. Has audio volume controls in upper right of the keyboard. I've used pricy mechanical keyboards in the past which didn't last. Not worth the hundreds they want.. So far, a few months later. it's functioning as it should. The keys are not fading either. Would buy again if needed.

Top quality membrane keyboard.
There's a need to write down a review for this keyboard since it if for people with specific requirements . Also this is for the membrane keyboard . Pros - 1) Top quality keyboard , the whole frame is very sturdy and really well built . 2) Out of the box plug and play with no issues whatsoever , identified immediately on windows 10 3) very very classy , along with that shiney steel hyperx logo and grooves below the space bar and the sides . 4) lighting is top notch , you get 5 zones and you can change how you want it from the keyboard itself with a dedicated on off and switching button and specific Fn changes for speed , style etc . 5) really nice wire that looks quite sturdy . 6) dedicated media control buttons , for in game use. 7) well spaced out keys . 8) it was meant for my budget , for this price either you have this or the Logitech membrane if want a classy membrane keyboard that does the job . Cons 1) doesn't have per key rgb lighting for the jazzy disco effect , but I didnt want that in the first place 2) the keys are a little wobbly so you know it's not super expensive. 3) there's no sound feedback from the keys but it really doesn't matter to me . I am extremely satisfied with this product for my build .
