SPT55302 Multi GM Battery Terminal (1) 1/0 Gauge (1) 4 Gauge and (2) 8 Gauge Outputs

This worked great for hooking up a power wire to a side mount battery. A few observations. 1. You have to remove the factory bolt that screws into the battery and replace it with one of the included bolts. Its fairly easy to remove the factory bolt with a screw driver. 2. This fits on top of the factory battery connection. So basically it's setup like this battery>factory wiring>stinger>new bolt. 3. On my car its a tight fit to tighten the new bolt down, I had to find a large hex wrench that had a bend in it because I don't have much clearance.

Did exactly what I needed. Allow more connections straight to battery.

Great solution to an ongoing problem

This battery terminal is an outstanding value, especially if this is one of your first car audio builds. The included screws are sold individually on discount car audio sites at $6+ a pop, so if you don't know how long a screw you need into your battery terminal (if you aren't sure what else you may add on later). I bought the Stinger brand for the fit/finish/pretty logo/flair and chose matching distribution and grounding blocks (which I ended up not using since my install was simpler than expected, links below though). Stinger SHD21 HPM Series Power or Ground Distribution Block with Satin Chrome Finish I bought two but ended up only using the positive terminal since you ground your car audio to the chassis somewhere in the interior. I grounded to the rear seat buckles' bolt under the rear seat. Bought a 6 gauge, 1/2" diameter ring terminal from Autozone, twisted and passed 1/3 of a 0 gauge wire through the connector and braided what came out with the other two, 1/3 sections of the 0 gauge cable. Then I wrapped and taped it around the base of the ring terminal below the ring, and that's how you ground the heck out of your car audio with and insufficiently large gauge ring terminal to your seat belt mount (much better and cleaner than going for driver/passenger seat bolts). Learn from my mistake, you don't need a second one of these battery terminals for the negative terminal unless you enjoy the appearance (I'll install the second one later for this reason, they just look so damn cool.)

Works very well good replacement and allows you to set up a amp easily only complaint is the screws were either to long or to small so i used a washer which in the end made it look more oem on the battery but i feel they need 1 more bolt size and it would fit any gm car for sure

Excellent quality and workmanship. Was exactly what I needed to have wires make a better contact to the positive terminal of my truck battery. I recommend this if you have more than the "factory" connection to your battery.
