5 stars. These soft close dampers are def worth it if your cabinet doors slam shut all the time. Install was pretty simple, and I like that you can adjust the closing speed depending on the door. They’re small and don’t really stand out once installed, but they make the cabinets feel way nicer. No more loud cabinet slams, which is honestly such a good lil upgrade for the house. Just make sure your hinges/cabinets are compatible before buying, but for me they worked great. Solid buy.

These things are excellent! Super easy to install - literally a minute or two per cabinet door. Drill a 3/32" hole using the damper as a guide and screw the damper to the cabinet. Adjust as needed for a soft closure. Added them to every cabinet door in the house!

This little device is great and I super easy to install! The only thing is that I wish it were made of metal. These are actually some form of plastic with a chrome look. I have installed well over 60 in my home...and they all work great. One of them did snap slightly, but again, plastic, not metal. I was able to gorilla glue the piece firmly back into place and continue using it without issue. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star review is the fact that it's plastic. Metal would give a stronger product that would likely avoid the type of breakage that I experienced with one of them.

These are GREAT...until they break apart and then you are slamming all of your kitchen doors. We purchased these for every single kitchen and bathroom door in our new house. My husband installed them all. They worked perfectly for about 3 years and now they are all breaking apart. Super annoying that they cannot last. So now that we were used to soft close doors, we end up slamming all of our doors out of habit. YIKES. 2.5 stars rounded up for the good years we had with them.

2nd UPDATE: I've revised these back down to 4 stars. When they work, they work well. But after a couple of years of normal use, several have broken where they are mounted. the screw hole fractures and then it's unusable. (see photo). I'm still buying replacements as they do what I need and I have not found a better alternative. UPDATE: I have revised this review from 4 to 5 stars. I intend to get a third package to finish all my cabinets. TIP: Unscrew them so they're loose BEFORE you install them. The knobs on half of them were extremely tight and they're very hard to get a grip on after installation. It's easier to loosen them a lot before mounting. It's then easier to tighten them until they work. TIP 2: Mount them as close to the corner of your cabinet door as you can to work properly. The farther from the corner (the closer to the middle of the door), the more resistance you'll get and your door likely will not close. ------ After making adjustments to the tightness of the screw knob and the location of the closer, these work very well to soft-close my cabinet doors. FYI: This product appears to be plastic with a shiny chrome-colored surface, not metal. They provide only one screw per damper for mounting, though each damper has two holes. You'll have to choose if the lower or upper hole works better. Dampers are designed for mounting screws to go in at an angle, not straight in. When mounted close to the top of a cabinet that'll mean you can only use the lower hole for mounting as no screwdriver can reach the upper hole at the required angle. While they recommend drilling a pilot hole, I found that was not necessary when using an electric drill set to high torque.

At first, these were amazing. Put them on many, many cabinet doors. Easy to install and worked as expected. Then, after a few month, one cabinet door lost its dampening. A fluid was leaking out. Then, more of them started to fail, also leaking some fluid. My take on it was that the internal hydraulic seal failed rendering the device useless. If it was one device, I would think just bad luck; but, with several failing it appears that this is not the quality product I thought it was. I would not buy these again.

I had my laundry room remodeled earlier this month - 7 new double door cabinets total. I didn't buy expensive cabinets as it IS just a utility room and I needed to save on costs were possible. A few years ago, I had a new kitchen put in and all of the doors were soft-close. Well, I got used to that and I love it. Was sorry I didn't get the same for the utility room. After a few times of hearing the door thumpity-thump-thump when closing, I decided to see if there was something one could buy to make the doors close softly. Headed to Amazon but really didn't know what to search for. Tried a few different things and finally found it! A damper! The reviews seemed good, but some were upset that it nickle covered plastic. I went with the good reviews and purchased just two so I could give it a try. They arrived very nicely packaged with clear instructions on how to install them. Now, I'm not a spring chicken at 78 years old (female) but this was so simple that a child could install it! To help me keep it in place (old hands shake a bit) I used a piece of masking tape to hold it while I put in the screw. First time I shut the door... it still "bounced". Huge disappointment. Then I remembered the little adjustment thing on the back. A few twists of that and tried the door again. Perfect!! No noise. I love it! Went back to Amazon and ordered a 10 pack so I could do all of the cabinets. Will be going back for a few more for the bathrooms. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this product. Looks nice, easy to install, and does the job. What more could one want?

Incredibly easy to install. Has screw holes on either side of the unit, so it can install on either door orientation. Just make sure it's installed snug in the corner, with the flat metal plate hanging over the edge of your cabinet door. That secures it in place when the door moves. I recommend installing them in the upper corner to be the least distracting. However, some bigger doors will require two (one installed at the top and one on the bottom hinge-side corner) in order to be effective. Even if you have to install one on the bottom, the metal-looking body blends well and it does not look bad. Some units were a bit difficult to adjust with the screw, but I got them all going in the end. The only con is that if you slam your cupboard with too much force (maybe you're very angry and wanted to passive aggressively show the world but you forgot you installed soft close adapters), the doors will bounce against the damper a bit. Just remember that they're there, and show your anger in a different way;) In summary, an effective and economic way to adapt your cupboards to soft-close if your existing hinges are not compatible with soft-close adapters, or you do not want to spend the extra bucks. I will be buying another set to finish off my kitchen.

These are quality! They really do the job to a high standard. Good value for money, well made, adjustable and easy to fix with just one screw.
