Rough Country N3 Dual Steering Stabilizer for 1999-2004 Super Duty 4WD - 8749030

This steering stabilization kit fit my 2003 Excursion Limited (4WD). Installation was easy and they are better than the factory stabilizer. I have a 3” lift kit and wanted some additional stability. These did the trick! They smoothed out the steering and fit like a glove! They look great and the quality is amazing. Great value for the price.

Decent kit. Smoother handling when transitioning between turns. More stable during drives. Appearance is decent. Ordered better hardware than what came in the kit personally. Fit was good.

If I could give this a 6 out of 5 I would this completely transformed my 2000 7.3 f350. no more chasing the truck down the highway it drives like a new truck. Definitely recommend this to any one with an older year truck with steering play. I love everything rough country. If some one is reading this from rc hook me up with some rims and I’ll leave a crazy review and make a video of it

Overall I'm really happy with these. I bought them because I got bigger tires and they had a tendency to bump steer. Also my truck should have had a single stabilizer installed but some previous owner removed it. Installation was super easy. It took probably an hour but I also greased the front end and had to run to the hardware store. My vehicle is a 2000 F250 4WD with front leaf springs and 35" tires. Pros: - Great Price - Very very easy to install - Upgrade from stock setup - Complete kit with hardware - Adjustable Cons: - Hardware wasn't the best. My kit provided 2 9/16" nylon lock nuts for the passenger stabilizer mount. However the thread pitch of my passenger U-bolts are M14-2.0 so I had to run to the hardware store and buy some. Also the 4 studs that hold the stabilizers onto the brackets only come with one washer. I'm sure that's fine, but I used another washer on each so the nut wasn't pushing against the rubber bushing. - Lack of rubber boots. Not a huge deal but I would have liked to put some on. - Directions were worded kinda weird. No big deal with pictures but hey.

Starting with the bad... the hardware included needed for Bolting the LH & RH brackets to the axle u-bolts were the wrong thread pitch and I didnt notice this until half way into the install. But thankfully I had another vehicle to run to the hardware store and grab the correct nuts(worst case scenario you can remove a couple lug nuts and use them, as they are the same) to bolt the brackets to the u-bolts. Once I got through that I got it all together and cant believe the difference in how it drives. Not only does it tighten up the entire steering, but you can steer with one finger on the highway now. I will say for some it may not be ideal but i like it, it stiffens up the steering quite a bit giving the wheel a much heavier feel... Somewhat concerned as to how that will effect the power steering pump, and steering box over time.. as of now, its great! I will be putting these on every F250 & F350 I purchase from here on out. You will not find a better bang for your buck when it comes to steering upgrades for this truck. * I recommend replacing both tie-rods when doing this job... as if you have a weak joint it will only weaken it further and you will be removing this to replace it anyways *

Great product!

This product made a huge difference in the steering in my truck. Before I had to use both hands my truck was all over the road. Now it's one hand . It's like driving a new truck but with bad brakes. Fix that soon too
