Romans
I purchased this book to go along with our Bible study every week. It is a good guide along with reading the Bible and having open discussion with others amongst the group.

Tough, thought-provoking questions
We are using this book as a study guide for our small group discussion of Romans. The questions are not routine ones, nor are the answers specifically spelled out in the text. Instead, the questions require thought and are worthy of discussion.

Another great study
This was an incredible study. I’d highly recommend reading the larger text from NT along with the study. You won’t regret it!

NT Wright's Study Guide on Romans
This is a helpful study guide for Romans, which I used for personal study over a couple of months. Like any study guide, it requires personal discipline to think through the answers to the questions. The guide consists primarily of questions, which makes it more useful for small group study than personal study.

Studies in Romans
N.T. Wright is a studied man of God's Word. You will find his lesson books challenginger for your student, as well as the class teacher. Not too difficult that your students will become discouraged. His lessons are thought provoking and will make wonderful study as Paul is in Rome.

Amazing resource for leading adult bible study
Amazing resource for leading an adult bible study on a pretty theologically thick book of the Bible! : great little intros per section and good discussion questions. So often it’s hard to find a good bible study book that doesn’t skim too lightly nor does it go over people’s heads / seminary level.

Appears to be a very worthwhile study
Probably Paul's most difficult letter to explore but central to his theology. Men in our study group (8-12 in number) find Wright's study challenging but thoroughly engaging and enlightening. We are not a bit as conservative as he (or, at least, as his reputation seems to color him). We find himfairly even handed, so far. That said, we've only completed the first 5 chapters of Romans at this time. We'll have to see how the remainder of the study plays out. We are eager to continue to its completion.

Disappointed!
I learnt far more of the implications of Paul's Roman epistle by reading (and re-reading several times to get all the "meat" out of it) Watchman Nee's old classic "The Normal Christian Life" which explains what Christ has done for us in justification and in provision of the means for sanctification through the leading of the Holy Spirit. IMO the N.T.Wright study is at a too low level, (verse by verse) lacking a "panoramic view" of the great impact of Romans on how we should live!.
