I asked this question too when I wanted to know the country of origin for the bovine source (see above.) I ended up emailing the Doctor's Best company and got this reply: "The calcium in this product is sourced from Waitaki Bioscience. MCH-Cal is manufactured from New Zealand free rane, pasture fed and BSE free cattle. All Animals have passed ante and post mortem veterinarian inspection at the time of processing."  Good to know that the bones that the calcium come from are from organic and disease free cattle.
