Works fine so far. The DVI is not dual-link, which is a bit annoying for me but it's not a deal breaker for most people on this day and age.

Just got a 2019 MacBook Pro and needed to connect it to a monitor with only DVI inputs. My previous MacBook accepted a chain of USB-C to HDMI to DVI, but that no longer works with this newer laptop. This MONODEAL dongle works perfectly with DVI though - simple to connect and the picture looks great. Having HDMI, VGA, and USB built into the same package just makes it that much better and means less dongles to juggle when I move to different setups.Build quality is very good as well - feels sturdy and matches the brushed metal/white cable of the MacBook. Very satisfied for such a capable adapter at this price point!

What's working (on MacBook Pro 16"):-- HDMI (tested 1080p to a TV) -- crisp sharp picture & sound-- VGA analog (not 100% crisp picture, but okay)-- USB 3What's NOT working:-- DVI outputI didn't test multiple displays or higher resolutions. USB-C connector feels a bit wobbly when plugged in.Conclusion: works for my purposes (compact travel adaptor), but wouldn't use it as a permanent desk solution; not perfect, but okay for the price.Update: The company sent me an updated adapter which is working well; doesn't have DVI at all any more, but I didn't need it anyway. USB-3, VGA and HDMI all working well (VGA sharper than before), so does the added USB-C power feed-through (limiting power to 60W, but keeps my MacBook Pro running). USB-C connector feels much more solid than on the original. Adding a star.

I didn't test it for a 4k monitor, but it works very well with my Samsung QHD (2560x1440) and LG FHD (1920x1080) monitors. Very easy to install (nothing is necessary but connecting.) The only problem I had with this product is the connection with the dual-link DVI cable to my 10-year old QHD monitor (not a major vendor). I ordered more than 4 different models to solve this problem, but most of them failed except for a very expensive one. It could be a problem of analog/digital signals rather than this product itself. The customer service explained this reason to me. They are asking customers for feedback on their products and try to improve the quality. I was told that a new model is coming. I am looking forward to the improved quality of the new model as well.

I had an issue with the video adapter, it did not work with my HP laptop. I contacted the seller and they were very responsive. I really appreciate that the company really tried to help and support the product. After several attempts to solve the problem, the company sent a replacement. The replacement did not work either. I am working from home with limited IT support since Mar 13th. Yesterday the issue was RESOLVED. The solution was to restart the computer and log in with ADMINISTRATOR credentials. We connected the video adapter, and the laptop immediately recognized a new USB device. The connected monitor began to work.LESSON LEARNED: If the user does not have privileges to install software, an administrator may need to login to install USB drivers for the adapter to work. Thanks again to the Seller for your support, I hope that this is useful for future customers.

First time I used this, it worked fine for 15 minutes, then the monitor went blank, as if no signal and the computer no longer showed the presence of an additional monitor. Tried it with two different monitors - one via HDMI and one via VGA. Neither worked though they were fine through other adapters or plugging in directly. So this thing literally died in less than an hour. I'm past the amazon return period but will try contacting seller.Update: I contacted the seller and to their credit they responded very quickly. They gave me a full refund because I had already purchased an alternative produce AND sent me a replacement for this one anyway. I am raising my rating from 1 to 3 because of this - but to be clear, I have not tested the replacement yet and I wouldn't count on it being that much better. Based on the reviews, at best, there is a QC issue with a significant number of bad ones going out. However, given their responsiveness and excellent customer service, I suppose it's worth taking the chance and hoping you get a good one and that it lasts. As for me though, I'm switching to known brands even if it means I have to have multiple adapters to get the equivalent.Update: January 2020Finally got around to trying the replacement because none of my other adapters will allow me to convert DVI to thunderbolt. And guess what - it didn't work at all. At first, it seemed to work with an HDMI input but then I tried the DVI and that didn't' work - and then even the HDMI that worked at first stopped working. Junk. Back to 1 star. They could send me 5 of these for free and I would take them.
