Great price, and a flexible, compacting pack.
Not a fan of the typical lunch-bag and had to get a smaller bag than my messenger bag since locker sizes at work are small (around and smaller than a 12" x 12" x 12" cube). This pack not only folds up nicely as I take my light equipment, break reading, and lunch/drinks out to fit in the locker, but the option to fold it in the center of the back helps me to avoid folding it down completely to its most compact size (you can't do this with a hard-back pack). The pack comes folded (with instructions) in its most compact size, unpacks and repacks down with ease, and has convenience pockets when it is small. Opened up, it holds a nice bit of stuff comfortably. Quite spacious and great utilization/organization of space! Plus, it looks great--like almost like any other pack. I say this because similar fold down products about this price can look a little cheap once you unfold them and/or load them up. Not this one.Only cons: Initially unfolding it can look a bit wrinkled (the pack design generally distracts from this). I also don't find it as comfortable for carrying heavier loads over longer distances compared to a nice hard-back pack. But still, it gets the job done and saves space when you put this bag in another bag, box, or tiny locker.Could be great for library trips, delivering items while you keep your pack, unpacking and repacking items in small/confined spaces, clothing and light equipment for day hikes (in case it gets cold/hot), or even an unfolded pack holding more of these folded down packs.

light weight and functional
I purchased this first a few months ago but wouldn't leave a review until I had opportunity to use it well. A couple of 5 mi. day hikes here locally, and just returned from vacation doing some day hiking in Moab, and Grand canyon NP. If you want inexpensive, very lightweight, super tough, all the benefits of a North Face or Osprey for next to nothin, then don't buy this. BUT.. If you're looking for lightweight, inexpensive, durable enough for light day hiking and all around use then this is the one. When we got to Moab in time for the temps to drop 20 deg. below normal, very windy, and less than stellar vaca conditions. I was able to carry water in the sides (20 oz.) snacks, my normal things in front pocket (compact fire kit, knife, compass, etc.) extra water in main compartment, light jacket or heavy shirt. it carried well for what it is. Truthfully, I will be using it more as a day use pack as well. Can't beat this for the money. The zipper s are a little light weight but if you're not cramming a ton of stuff in a small pack, you won't have a problem. I like it so well, I ordered 2 more yesterday (both for my son) and will likely order another for my wife soon.

Great pack, minor flaws
I use this pack every day for work on a construction site. It's a great pack. It carries all my keys, a clip board, water bottle, and a couple tools that I need. The mesh pocket is zippered to keep valuables secure and the middle pocket is large enough to hold my sunglasses case. The flaws, I think are design issues that can be improved. The first issue is that I wish the stash pouch was double zippered. In backpack mode the stash pouch becomes the front pocket and to open it you have only one zip to use. This means that the pocket is completely open from one side and small objects can fall out. The other thing that I think can be improved are the water bottle pockets. I use a squeezable gatorade bottle and the pockets are just a bit too small, but its not a major issue. And then finally the whistle. Plain and simple, it doesn't work, but that's not big deal for me. great pack overall.

Best pack at this price point!
I wasn’t sure what the quality of this bag would be like when I purchased it but I love it! I used it as my day pack for a two week trip in Puerto Rico and was able to fit so much stuff in it! It looked smaller than I thought it would be, smaller than the average adult backpack, but like I said, I was able to fit everything I needed—hammock, towel, bug spray, water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, meds, book, rain jacket, and more. Love all the pockets and especially like the webbing loops so if you run out of interior space, you can easily clip things on the outside of the bag. There is an interior divider so could potentially put a water reservoir in it. And it’s awesome that it folds down to a compact size so you can throw it in another bag to have just in case. This has become my go to bag when I want don’t want to lug around my messenger backpack or need something light and compact. Super comfortable. Highly recommend.

So comfortable and lightweight!
I bought this because the last 3 North Face backpacks I bought had such stiif straps they hurt my neck and shoulders. Plus they were heavy before I even put anything in them. I gave them all away and decided to try this. It weighs almost nothing and the straps are super soft. I wore it on the Emerald Lake trail at Rocky Mountain National Park and, despite having it on for over 4 hours, I never even felt that I was wearing a backpack. It held 2 Nalgene water bottles, a fairly heavy camera, snacks, phone, kleenex, wipes, chapstick, car keys, etc. Everything you would bring on a decent hike and yet I never felt I was even wearing it, my neck and shoulders never hurt, etc. I will be bringing this to Yellowstone in a couple weeks for my hiking pack. I would totally buy again and will be buying them for loved ones for gifts because they are such a great product.

Very tiny
Bought this for a bug out bag but it's very tiny. Not very much can fit in it and it seems like not much weight to rip it. Zipper broke first time unzipping I was able to fix it though.I will need to purchase a better bag this one won't do. Possibly ok for my son to use.

Tiny
Way smaller than I anticipated. I'm sure it's fine for a small person.

Way too small
I was surprised when this backpack came to see how small it was. It's much smaller than any backpack I've ever had before. I ended up returning it.
