Performance Pans Aluminum Round Cake Pan, 9 x 2 in., Pack of 2

I found a recipe for making sourdough buns for sandwiches like a local sandwich chain. It called for two six inch baking pans and I only had one. So I bought this one so I could bake two buns at a time. These are really nice aluminum pans, well made, and a nice weight. This size pan also fits in the smaller sized Instant Pot for cooking more than one item at a time. It is perfect for baking a small meatloaf for two people too. The heat distribution is even and the food cooks well. It is intended for baking cakes but I have used it for many more things. Wilson has been a reliable brand for many years.

Quality pans!! Bakes evenly, with or without cake strips. Easy to get cakes out (using cake goop) and they clean well with a soft sponge and dawn. Only thing I should have paid attention to is that the sides are not straight/perpendicular to the bottom. Having that slope makes multi-layer cakes look wonky and difficult to crumb coat.

The pan worked very well. I have no complaints about it. It is of light weight material but it didn’t affect the baking in anyway.

The pans are good. Unfortunately, it came with a dent because the delivery guy just threw it and the package wasn’t protected, it came just in an Amazon envelope. I wish the delivery guys have more training on how to handle items. They should be more gentle.

Came with a small amount of damage on the edge of the pan but nothing that mattered to me. East to clean and use, stacked nicely for storage

I am retired and am finally learning how to cook beyond the basics. One of my goals is to learn how to decorate cakes. I started a thread here on Amazon and asked what kind of cake pan should a beginner get. I received a few suggestions then decided on the Wilton Perfect Performance Round Cake Pan, 8 by 3-inch. I bought two of them. I also purchased a pack of 24 Regency 8 inch Parchment Paper Liners for Round Cake Pans. This first time was nothing fancy. I just wanted to get some kind of baked cake under my belt, no pun intended. I used a box mix and added the recommended water, oil, and eggs. I don't have a mixer as such, so I used a tall slim electric mixer that can fit into a tall glass. I used the parchment paper in the bottom of each pan, but I didn't add any kind of agent to keep the cake from sticking. I followed the directions on the box. The cake turned out perfect. So soft and tasted so good. I must say the cake could not have turned out better. The cakes came right out of the pans when I put a cooling rack over the pan, turned the pan upside down and the cakes each fell on the cooling racks. No breaking up, no crumbs, no sticking at all. The only thing I had to do is to gently pull of the parchment paper. This did not damage the cake in anyway. Everything really did turn out perfect. I used store bought icing because of this being my first time. Before I used them I hand washed them in hot soapy water. After I baked the cake I looked around the Internet for experiences using a dishwasher for these pans. I found a few places that said they were dishwasher safe and nowhere that said not to use a dishwasher to clean them. So I put them in my regular load and washed them on a regular cycle on the top rack. They came out just a new as when I bought them. These cake pans made my first time baking a cake a pleasant one I will remember. I'm encouraged to move forward and try making my own mix as my granny did when she made her cakes. I don't know what else to add in saying just how satisfied I am with these pans. If I have left anything out, please ask me and I will give you the best answer I can. These are the cake pans to buy.

They feel so light at first I thought I had the wrong package! They are great though, I like the way they feel, bake and wash. The seller was also very quick in posting them. I'm really happy after the disaster I had with 4" deep pans. Separate layers for me from now on!

El aluminio es lo mejor para hornear porque hace una transmisión uniforme del calor. Ahora sólo uso estos moldes. Excelente calidad y precio. 👍🏾

It is good you know that it changes color as soon as you wash in dishwasher but cake comes out level and evenly baked. I love it.
