You may need to add several water bottle weights if you have a heavier DSLR camera like I have (Canon T5i) but it holds it very easily. I've never experienced bending or anything like that with the heavy camera. The screw threads are plenty long for a secure attachment to the camera. All in all, this was perfect for my filming needs and I love it! The rod is sturdy enough if you can solve the tipping problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for the price, not heavy duty *by J***8 on February 8, 2018* This arm is exactly what I needed for my table photography. The only good use that I have found for this arm is on a horizontal level and that's all. You can clamp the sides to two stands and slide the center piece from side to side. It well built and not as heavy as it looks but it did pretty well with my Canon 5D MK II with a 16-35mm lens on it and a speedlight. Just don't overload it too much as the center piece mount doesn't seem like it can hold too much weight. Don't lift it up off the table too much in case that the stands and bar fail. You don't want your equipment hitting the floor or table from a high place.
