Sage is a volatile oil. If you have ever used peppermint essence, bergamot, oregano, or tea tree oil, it is similar to that family of smells. It is earthy and minty if I had to pick two words. Now is a quality maker of essential oils, and they are predictable and uniform every time I buy them.. having bought basically a shelf-full to make my own natural colognes and aroma therapies. Modern medicine shows sage is a potent antioxidant, both the oil, and whole herb. It can be used to treat a variety of disorders such as candida overgrowth, colds, sore throats, but dilute it properly with other oils or you can give your sensitive mucus membranes a chemical burn (although not an artificial chemical). This is food grade essential oil that can be used for consumption. If you have belief in traditional herbology lore, sage is purifying of evil spirits etc, and sage rubs are made to smoke out negative energies. Sage goes good with Bergamot in cologne, also Frankincense. Hope that helps!

This is the third essential oil I that have purchased from the Now brand essential oil line. The first two being Patchouli & Lavender essential oils. Through my own research, many reputable sources have stated that Now brand EO's are of very good quality, and highly recommended. So, that being said, that was enough to spark my interest in Now EO's and give them a shot. Keeping it short, I'm glad I did. This particular EO, is very good quality, and smells true to the herbal sage plant itself. This essential oil is concentrated and strong, as it should be, yet still pleasant smelling. It smells like good quality sage EO. Very nice. So far, I am very impressed with the Now brand essential oil line, from my three individual product experiences. Highly recommended product!

Sage oil is very good product

I use this to help keep my jitters down. A swipe of it on the bottom of each foot. Also been told by someone who suffered from migraines that a dab behind each ear helps with them. Good price point

Very nice quality IMO, the smell is amazing and really on target. You may use this in an oil warmer, a stick diffuser (mix with rosemary or lavender it goes well for bathrooms) or in cosmetic products: I used a few drops in a moisturizing evening ointment and drops really goes a long way. I am only starting with the use - a few drops in a shampoo for hair reinvigorating (also add a bit of Moroccan Argan Oil for Hair and Face From Majestic Pure, 100% Natural, Organic, Cold Pressed & Triple Extra Virgin Grade 1 Argan Oil - 4 Oz for an immediately beneficial experience). I highly recommend this product.

Sage is one of my favorite essential oils. I usually get another brand, but liked that price. I have other oils by Now Essential Oils and loved them, but this one missed the mark. It smells like wet hay and mildew and nothing at all like sage. I was also unhappy when I realized this was unreturnable. So they get to keep people's hard-earned money and not be held accountable for selling an inferior product. I guess that will teach me to read all their policies before purchasing. I guess I thought some companies still had integrity and would stand behind their product enough that if a customer was unhappy with it they would be able to return it for a full refund. And why is it I can't return it, because it may be flammable, but they are able to ship it to me with no problems? Is it only possibly flammable one way? I will stick with Healing Solutions and definitely wont stray from it again with the oils I already know I like. Edit: So as not to waste the product I was using this oil in my cleaning products. I noticed something odd. The musty smell all but disappeared. I am wondering if it somehow got heated during the shipping that caused the smell to change temporarily. It still is not the sage I was expecting, but it is sage. I did some research and found out the sage I was used to from the company I usually buy from is spanish sage and not common sage. Since the funky smell wore off the smell has grown on me and is now an essential part of my oil collection.

I have been trying to use natural products and essential oils have become a part of that. I bought some liquid soap called "Beach Sage" that hubby and I really liked. I did some research and the scent was described as a combination of sage and eucalyptus. Since I already had eucalyptus, I decided to get this sage. This Now sage oil is a nice, true sage scent, and although I expected it to be a tad stronger, it is very pleasant. I have combined it with eucalyptus (2:1) in my diffuser to recreate the scent my hubby and I so enjoyed, and I am also combining a few drops in unscented natural liquid soap. I have purchased other products from Now brand and have been pleased and they met my expectations.
