Waited a year to review because....
I do not understand why people give 5 star reviews on items they have not even taken out of a package. I do not like giving high marks for an item to later have a problem and be dissatisfied.I can tell you that this item was easy for one person to assemble.I have used this machine to mix concrete for a new foundation on a very large home. I have mixed at least one hundred 80 pound bags with this machine and it can easily mix 2 bags at one time.I just mixed more than 50 bags yesterday. I thought I was going to have to complain about the product because recently it was skipping, not turning the drum with 2 bags and tilted close to horizontal. Instead of having to make a dreaded warranty call, I realized there is a large bolt in the bottom of the drum that holds the drum to the frame that had loosed. A simple tightening of that bolt eliminated the issue.I am a homeowner and this has only been used on this property but it has mixed more concrete than most homeowners would mix in their lifetime.

It works great using it this way
I've read reviews that these types of units don't last very long due to certain design aspects. I took a chance on this one.The key here is to only put 1 bag of concrete in the hopper at a time - and mix. It can hold a bit more, but the motor can't handle the extra weight over and over. After mixing 1 bag, I rinse out the unit to prevent mortar buildup. The rinse water I use for the next bag. It works great using it this way. It takes a little longer, but it makes the unit last a lot longer. I've done over 100 bags and it still runs like new. Just my 2 cents.

Good thus Far 75-80# bags run through
Works well. Assembly was easy by myself. instructions were done well. I do two 80# bags at a time and it doesn't skip a beat. i would recommend you do stake it down if possible when doing this. during the dump cycle it can get a little unstable due to the small foot on the front post. either weld a large piece to it, or attach a board to widen its stance with 3/8 inch hardware. Like the multiple position selector, allows me to not lose much of the material during the dump cycle. Why not five stars. some of the hardware was wrong or missing. gave me the option to change it to stainless :)

Spend $20 more for this unit and save yourself $200 worth of headaches compared to cheaper mixers
Don't even bother looking at the junk Harbor F mixer. I can save you some time! Quality of this unit is second to none as you can just tell by the paint finish alone. It is very easy to put together in 30 mins. after you gather a few tools. This little mixer works like a champ as I used it to level a severely sloping basement floor in my 80 year-old house, where trucking in concrete really wasn't feasable. A friend at work has the Harbor F mixer (who tried to sell it to me, but told me it wouldn't hold a whole bag of mix)and said it kept overheating, thus shutting-down in the middle of his fencing project. This little workhorse kept plugging away and didn't skip a beat! Oh yea, and I had a problem in shipping where some Ups ppl got a little rambunctious and bent the drum a bit and customer service next day aired me a new part with no questions and no problems! I can't say enough about this thing. Thanks Yardmax! I will be looking at more of your products thanks to your quality and service!

Possible refurb?? Motor doesn't match product spec and doesn't work.
I was very disappointed with my experience. The box arrived in good shape, I spent about 45 minutes assembling the machine. Everything seemed great, until I turned it on.. It made a terrible noise as soon as the power was flipped on. I immediately shut it off and started to investigate. When I looked at the motor itself, the problem seemed easy to spot. It looks like there is a missing screw or shaft in the center of the motor. The fan inside is spinning loose and rubbing against the motor housing. My initial reaction was to contact support to see what could be done. I took a photo of the motor, to show the issue. Then another of the side of the mixer to get the serial and model number. When I looked at the photos my anger started to rise. The mixer itself is supposed to have a 3/4 HP motor. However, the motor is actually a 1/2 HP motor.I contacted Amazon support, who put me on hold to contact the manufacturer. After several minutes the Amazon rep came back on the line and stated the manufacturer offered no solution and Amazon is going to refund my money. Now I get to spend another half hour breaking the mixer down again and attempting to get all the parts back into the box for UPS to pick up it. Not what I was expecting when purchasing a "new" item that was fulfilled by Amazon.

A Step Above It's Peers; Good Value, minor QA Issues
The YardMax YM0115 is basically the same mixer you will find across many different retailers sold under different names, colors, and specifications. The YardMax version is probably the nicest version of the bunch with a higher motor HP rating and CF capacity. Additionally, as compared to other units, there is less assembly. Since this unit likely comes from the same CHINA factory as the lessor model versions, quality control is an issue. My mixer arrived in excellent packaging from the mfr. Unfortunately there were 2 issues. One of the legs was bent from the factory (was in the middle of the undamaged box) and there was MFR defect on another part that completely prevented assembly. I normally return/replace products when any defect is found. I thought I would save Amazon a few $ in shipping costs and contact the MFR. The customer service rep was US-Based (+) and was fairly knowledgeable about the product. I told him which 2 parts I needed and without any fuss placed an order. The only thing I thought was odd, was that at no point did the rep. apologize for the inconvenience. In reality, who cares, apologies don’t mean anything, but it struck me as odd. The parts arrived in 3 business days (+) but one of the 2 was clearly removed from an assembled machine. The YardMax version is a great value when you compare the cost and upgrades this unit has over its lessor model siblings.
