Why is a two pack so much more expensive?

It shouldn't be. Sellers raise prices like this when they don't have items in stock so that they don't have to end their listing. Then when the item is back in stock they lower their price so people can purchase the item again. I wish Amazon would end this practice because it causes confusion for buyers.

What is the diameter of this wire? I'm looking for something .125 or something pretty close. Thank you

Canfield 60/40 wire solder is drawn to 0.125 in diameter. For most solders, this is the "standard" diameter. Sunshine has been selling Canfield 60/40 continuously for 40 years now. I have 50/50 , will that work on copper foil?

You can use 50/50 solder for copper foil work. It just doesn't flow as well as 60/40 in our opinion.
