Pushup Stands

I recently purchased a set of Pushup Stands from Amazon, and I have found them to be a straightforward and effective fitness tool. These stands offer a simple yet efficient way to enhance my pushup routine and target different muscle groups. The standout feature of these pushup stands is their sturdy and stable design. I’ve had other bars that were so narrow that they begin hurting your palms after a bit. These have a wider grip that’s really comfortable in hand. Also a nice wide base that won’t tip. Outstanding product.

I like to use pushup stands because osteoarthritis in my wrists makes bending my wrists painful, and the stands allow me to do pushups while keeping my wrists straight. I used to do knuckle pushups to save my wrists, but the osteoarthritis in my hands made that uncomfortable. My son gave me a larger/heavier pair of stands and I used them for years, even putting them in my bag when I travelled. My carryon bag was getting heavy and full, with the workout gear I took with me. I bought these more compact and lighter stands for travel, but soon found I preferred them at home as well. Their range of motion is a bit less than the larger stands from the same company when used on the floor, i.e., I don't dip down as far. This can be remedied by placing them on sturdy chairs. Again, I don't use chairs without the stands because that is too uncomfortable from the arthritis. The newer stands can be stacked and easily stored under furniture. I find them sturdy enough for my nearly 180-pound body. I often wear gloves when using the stands to provide additional cushioning but believe many people would not require gloves. They remain in place on carpeting or on a hard surface. They fit easily in my carryon bag and weigh about six ounces. My bag is flagged for a hand examination when going through TSA security but I'm unsure as to which equipment is causing this. I like them enough that I use them to replace my larger, heavier stands.

These push up stands work pretty well, they're lightweight and steady. I only took off a star because I wanted to order a 2nd pair, but the price increased from $11.99 to $19.99 in just a few years. I would have liked to order a 2nd pair of these, but I went with a different brand for half the price.

Convenient for travel. Very sturdy.

I have arthritis in my wrist and doing pushups or back press-ups can be painful. Since I got these, no pain at all. The grip is quite comfortable and does not get slippery. Some reviewers have experienced slippage on the floor but I have not had that problem. I like the way that they stack together, takes up less room when not in use.

I’ve used several different types of push-up stands in my lifetime and this one is probably the best version ever designed. Three things set them apart: First, many push-up stands dig into your palms because they’re either too round or offer no padding because they are just metal bars. What I like about these is that they’ve found a nice middle-ground. They are made of hardened plastic so they are lightweight, but offer the same firmness and durability of metal and do not bend or give at all. The grip is flattened on top in addition to having a rounded, padded grip, so your hands don’t start to hurt after a few pushups. Second, I like that the bottoms of the stands have a non-slip and non-marring rubber coating (See pic), so they’re easy and secure on pretty much any type of flooring. I’ve used these on carpet, tile, and laminate, and they’ve worked well on everything. Third, I like how they nest on top of each other and take up very little space. This goes along with my point earlier about the material (hardened plastic). Along with the benefit of it being lightweight, they’re also designed so you can stack them and throw them under a dresser or table, or in your closet, and they’ll take up only a small amount of floor/shelf space. This is so much nicer than the design of many comparable stands, which are heavier, larger, and do not nest into one another. All in all, these are the best stands I’ve ever used. Lightweight, hard, compact, sturdy, and durable. I would definitely recommend and buy again.
