Bought this for my lads thinking it might be a bit of fun for the garden, but it's become the neighbourhood sensation. The lights are properly bright and the patterns look brilliant in the dark. Battery life is impressive - we've had several evening kickabouts and it's still going strong. The ball feels like a normal football, which was my main worry. I thought it might be heavy or awkward because of the electronics, but it kicks and bounces naturally. Now half the street turns up when we get it out after dinner. Even works well on the local field where there's no lighting. Great quality and the kids think I'm the coolest dad ever, which doesn't happen often!

Kids love kicking it around on the street in the dark but it doesn't bounce easily and that frustrates them. They can't let it bounce and knee and header it etc

I can already tell this is going to be one of those toys that gets used constantly.We’re heading somewhere very remote in Scotland soon, and there’s going to be a lot of open space, fresh air, and kids with far too much energy. Add in the excitement of being somewhere new and I know they’ll be running wild all day. We’ve even planned a beach bonfire one night, so something that works after dark felt like a great idea.This glow football has been a brilliant find.It’s a full size 5 football, so it feels like a proper ball rather than a cheap novelty toy. The outer material has a nice soft touch and the panels feel durable enough for garden games, beach kicking, and general kid chaos. The seams look strong and once pumped up it holds its shape really well.The LED lights activate when the ball moves or is kicked, which honestly looks really cool at night. There’s no switch or setup. You literally just kick it and it lights up automatically.My oldest had it pumped up within about five minutes of it arriving and immediately put it on display in her room. The glow is surprisingly bright in the dark, so she’s actually started using it as a very unconventional night light.She’s got it sitting on a ball ring stand in her bedroom and when she gets up in the night to go to the toilet she just gives it a little tap as she walks past. The lights come on and give off a soft glow which is enough to guide her across the landing without switching lights on. Not the intended use… but it works!It comes with a pump and battery tool, which is handy because you can get it inflated and ready to use straight away. The batteries are already included and are easy to replace when needed.For the price, I think it’s great value for money. This is a Size 5 football with a very trendy distinct design.Our grandson LOVES it.It arrives needing to be inflated, but this was very easy to do with the included pump.The pump worked easily and quickly inflated the ball and has a safe place to store the pump adaptor.The battery replacement tool is easy to use to replace the LR44 batteries (semi deflate the ball first), though these were already in place upon delivery, so all I had to do was pull out the plastic battery taper to activate.The LED lights activate when the ball is touched, a clever feature that our grandson is obsessed with. As soon as it started to get dark, he insisted on going back outside for “football practice” and had us out there with him to watch how many keepy uppies he could do.When still, the lights go back off in under a minute.This is a very clever, captivating design football that will peak the interest of any football loving child. Our grandson is literally obsessed with it and he was gutted this morning when we wouldn’t let him take it to school (school rules, not ours).This has quickly become his favourite ‘thing’ to play with, so much so he’s put his games controller down and is outside with this instead. At £13.99 this is exceptional value for money, though I would say ‘priceless’ in the sense he wants to be outside with this, rather than in front of a screen.
