Great for a guest bedroom. I took a long time picking a Murphy bed like this one and decided this brand was the best bet and I have no regrets! Building does take some time and detail but I spaced it out over a week and it came out great. It could use some reinforcement in some areas but overall it feels safe and comfortable with a fold up mattress. Very cute and perfect for functionality.

2.5 months later I finally have all the correct pieces, unbroken in shipping, to have completed this item. Long story short: I absolutely would not buy again. The item itself is good, not perfect (I had to modify it, see below), but the fact that this comes from Vietnam via an intermediary (the seller) who WILL have to work with the factory to send replacement parts WHEN they show up broken in shipping...ruined the entire experience. Save yourself the headache, but if you're a masochist and want to know what I went through, follow along. This comes in two boxes. One showed up and I waited. And waited. Finally I wrote to the seller to send the other box. They did. It eventually arrived. As with other reviewers, I experienced opening the second box to find it poorly packed and one of the items inside (one of the drawer/slider mechanisms) broken and unusable. The seller was gracious and tried to help, but they literally had to contact the factory in Vietnam to commission a replacement part, which they got wrong. Then I had to pay extra $ directly to UPS via check thanks to tariffs, but the seller graciously paid those. FINALLY 2.5 months later I got the correct replacement parts and the item stands completed in my living room. If the item itself were perfect, I'd give a 3 star review, but the design of this thing boggles my mind. You have to physically pull the entire mattress out of the cabinet, then unfold the bed, then put the mattress on. I didn't realize this because I have used other murphy beds that just let you open it up and fold out the mattress gradually with the bed. So the first time I tried to use it, the legs that hold up the end of the bed SHEARED RIGHT OFF. So I made hinges for that part so it could fold it in when closing up the bed frame. Now, with some ingenuity on my part, it's actually a functional piece of furniture. After MONTHS of headaches. Again, the piece itself is fine (but beware the issue above) but the convoluted seller/manufacturer supply chain you have to deal with here more than offsets any good qualities about the item.

Bought this for Christmas for my granddaughter and boy was I happy!!! A great, quality bed not too hard for my son to put together and my granddaughter is so happy!!!
