LOVE this! The pockets are perfect for a remote or small book. It came fully compacted. I wanted to use it as soon as possible -figured it would take a couple days, based on the comments. So I immediately followed the directions and put in the dryer as directed. I was amazed how much that fluffed it out! I thought it would ready in 1 day instead of 2. But by the time I went to bed that night, it looked practically ready to use. I tried it that night since directions said using helped it to fill out. Felt good that first night, and by the 2nd night it it had filled out completely! I often accidentally fall asleep on it, but it is so supportive, I felt great in the morning. It is the perfect firmness and I experienced no smell at all. I an going to buy more for other bedrooms!

I had not had a reading pillow for decades and had forgotten what a luxury they are. I am writing this during the quarantine of 2020, while we are spending extensive down time at home. Thus, this purchase. Cost - I was surprised at the higher cost of some of these pillows, but I am sure they are making a come back demand. This one was moderately priced, leaning more towards economical. Shipping - I am a Prime member and received it in a day or so. Upon opening my front door and seeing a medium sized box, I thought ‘What in the world?’ I previously worked for a popular home goods store chain and we merchandised them as open stock on shelves. The first thing I pulled out of the box, was a letter stating not to be alarmed at the pillowed being compressed quite flat. It went on to say that it will shake out, but may take a couple days to rise to its full size. I thought, ‘Yeah, right. Better keep the box for a disappointing return’. So not the case. I pulled the pillow out (shrink wrapped, for lack of a better description), grabbed it by both sides and gave it a few good shakes. Much to my surprise, the pillow was perfectly ready for use. I do not know how many times I had to shake it, but I was not tired afterwards. My pillow rose to its full capacity immediately and did not require any extra time. Quality - This is a very well constructed pillow. It is firm, but comfy. If you are looking for a very fluffy and feather like pillow, this is not the one you should select. It comes with an ample bag of extra stuffing, making its firmness adjustable. As I am the type of person who immediately seasons their food prior to taste, I unzipped ( double zipper) the pillow and inserted the entire bag into the back of the pillow. I did not even remove the contents fro the bag. A normal human would have tried the pillow out first and perhaps found there was not a need for extra stuffing. Or, perhaps they may had added the stuffing to the arm rests or another particular part of the pillow. Forgive me. It is a character flaw. Albeit, from the side view, you cannot even tell. I should mention that it also has a securely attached handle on top. This is not a heavy pillow, but depending on ones health, this handle could be needed. Size - I am 5’9 and weight 132 lbs. I keep the pillow atop of my sleeping pillow (see photos) , and it totally accommodates my height. There is plenty of room for a person with a larger frame. Extras - There is a large pocket on the back of the pillow, which will accommodate a magazine or two. There are smaller pockets on each arm rest. I am sure they will hold a cell phone and remote, to make carrying of the pillow and additional items from room to room easier. The cover is removable, for washing. It only comes in this dark bluish teal color, that leans towards navy. I may have chosen an alternate color, but this is a small family business, explaining the lack of a color selection. I am very satisfied with the shade. On the mention of the company owners, the letter gives clear contact info, should you be dis-satisfied. I think that this is going to be a very long long affair.

This pillow is heavy, firm and supportive and just what I need. As others have mentioned, the side arms stick out to the side instead of being angled forward. And the pillow is quite stinky stanky, even though I removed the cover and washed it first (the removable cover washed up very well using cold water with gentle detergent in gentle cycle and low setting on the dryer). The stank from the pillow is almost skunk-like and seems to come from whatever's used to stuff the pillow. I'm looking forward to it dissipating, as other reviewers have indicated that it eventually does go away. I spritzed it lightly with Febreze fabric spray and that did help. So if you can put up with a few days of stink, it's a comfy and supportive back pillow.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this. I have used others in the past, but they bulged in the wrong spot while never enabling you to set up comfortably as well as have side support. The only way I can describe it is it feels the way you do then you have someone sitting close behind you with their arms cuddled next to your side allowing you to comfortably rest on them or if you are into stuffed animals like I am, it’s like being swaddled by a giant teddy bear. Lol I ordered an extra one to give as a gift who is bedridden. I know she’s gonna love it especially because it’s like Goldilocks it’s not too firm and it’s not too soft. It’s just right. Wedges are horrible since they are inflexible and make you sweat. There are some that remind me of a back of a beach chair, which is not conducive to actually comfortably sitting in bed. What is so funny is I can fall asleep sitting against this and not wake up achy which happens when I tried to bunch pillows together and fell asleep. I have a hard time sleeping anyway, but the craziest thing is as soon as I get in bed and use this I fall asleep within 25 minutes. So this not only is a great item to use for sitting in bed reading or using your laptop, but it also is fantastic if you fall asleep as well as help when you go to sleep, believe it or not. Kudos to the husband and wife who came up with this idea. Thank you thank you thank you. Also the material is just right. I will probably buy two more and put them in my bedroom closet for future use. I did forget to say this is perfect because I have a headboard that has a book shelf area across the entire bed where I place the books I am reading or will be reading, but it, makes sitting up in the bed uncomfortable. Buy it and you’ll be happy that you did plus like I said it makes a fantastic gift for someone who is bedridden or recovering from surgery or an injury, requiring them to stay in bed. They will love you for it.

Usually lazy to write reviews but this product is so good I bought a second one in the end. My dad fractured his ankle so he’s been bed ridden and this has been great in helping him sit up comfortably while in bed. It was well packed and shipped promptly. Would recommend.

Very soft material and very nice form. I think the size could be improved further with wider and longer arms and a lumbar support.
