Works very well at controlling the humidity
This is by far the best dehumidifier we have owned and we have owned quite a few .We have a finished basement and it gets damp in the humid summer weather. We plugged this unit in and it keeps our whole downstairs dry.and comfortable. Previously, we have had 2 dehumidifiers running together to take care of the dampness. We have only had this unit for a month now so hopefully it will last longer than 1 or 2 years. It is so quiet also and very easy to use. So very happy with this purchase.

Two Units, Both Leaked Water All Over My Floor
I purchased the AEOCKY 4500 Sq. Ft. Dehumidifier with Pump specifically to reduce the humidity and moisture in my apartment. Unfortunately, after having the same serious problem with two separate units, I cannot recommend this product. The first unit initially worked well for about two weeks. Then I came home one day and found water all over my floor. I had not changed anything about the setup or operation of the unit. The water appeared to be leaking from the main reservoir, although I could not determine whether the underlying problem was with the reservoir itself or the pump system. I contacted AEOCKY and went through their troubleshooting questions. They concluded that the unit was defective and asked me to return it. Interestingly, I continued using it for about another week before returning it, and it stopped leaking despite my changing absolutely nothing. That made the failure even more concerning because it appeared to be intermittent and unpredictable. The company recommended that I order another unit of the same model, so I did. I carefully connected the replacement according to the instructions and watched the setup videos to make sure everything was installed correctly. I left my apartment for approximately six hours. When I returned, my floor was soaked. The second unit had leaked even more water than the first. At this point, I am done with these units. A dehumidifier has one basic job: remove moisture from the air and safely dispose of the collected water. Having two separate units instead dump water onto my floor is unacceptable, especially because a leak can occur while no one is home and potentially cause significant property damage. One defective unit can happen. Having the same serious problem occur with two separate units suggests to me that there needs to be better quality control or a more reliable design for the water collection/pump system. I would not feel comfortable leaving this dehumidifier running unattended.

Quiet, efficient, stable humidity levels
This product does very well at reducing and maintaining selected humidity. The automatic pump feature empties the tank as soon as it is full. The old empty-when-full humidifier would stop until the tank was emptied which allowed humidity to rise, sometimes 30% or more. This made the old machine run longer to restore desired humidity, costing more to run.

Works well... quiet...
I've had this installed and running for about a week... It works very well. Much more efficient and quieter than than the older unit it replaced. I have it in a 1000 sq ft area and it lowered the humidity from 65% to 50% in less than a couple hours (as measured with a remote humidistat)... and it's maintained it there ever since. I'm utilizing its internal pump feature (why I bought this particular model) and it has no problem pumping the water up 8 feet to exit my basement shop. No more having to manually empty the tank. I can't yet speak for the units long term reliability, but so far it's been performing very well.

Good unit
Works awesome keeping the humidity out of my 3D printing shop, but it produces a lot of heat so take that into consideration. The self emptying feature is great.

Works well, very quiet
I have had this up and running since the day it arrived. Setup was simple, no surprises. It is small enough to blend in to most any room, although I would imagine the most efficient performance is away from obstructions. The unit has 3 drain options; gravity feed hose, pump, or bucket. I started using the bucket, but it is TINY compared to the water output. Look to having to empty the bucket 3 to 4 or more times a day. The humidity in the room is about 55% right now; I suspect that it will drop further when all the humidity is drawn out of the room. I just activated the pump so that I don't have to keep emptying the bucket. If there are any problems, I will edit this review. I have had several units from other manufacturers with a pump, and every single one quit working within months of activation. I am hoping for better performance with this one. Gravity feed thru a hose is not an option for me, as there is nowhere in the room to rout a hose. I am very surprised that I cannot find ANY ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS in the Amazon description, on the Aeocky web site, in the manual, or on the unit itself. I don't think I missed it. There may be something on the bottom, but I don't want to lay it down to look. This information SHOULD at least be in the manual, or one would think that it is on the web site. I wanted to be sure that the circuit is adequate.

Dry as a desert!
Genuine real person fumble-fingered homeowner here. Recently had my basement renovated into livable space in a humid climate. To the ERV, I wanted to add a dehumidifier just because I live on the Atlantic coast. This one from a company I had never heard of has been doing a fine job, but on continuous operation, the pump often turned itself off. (Hardly surprising - itโs just hooked up to a little thin hose that you can barely blow air through.) I installed a shelving unit next to the washing machine, lifted the dehumidifier so that the drain hose would be higher than the washerโs drain pipe, cut the big plastic drain hose to fit, and switched it on. My basement is now as dry as the Sahara. At the dehumidifier itself, itโs currently 35%, but even thirty feet away from its corner itโs measuring at 45%. Current ambient humidity in the rest of the house runs between 66 and 82%. This thing really works!

Easy to program, good performance
The dehumidifier is made with good-quality materials, looks great, and can easily blend in, even in the living room, since the noise it makes isnโt overly loud and is even lower when using the lower settings. It can be programmed in different ways so it can work unattended, although this will depend on how you set up the drainage. This option is especially useful if, for example, you have it running in a basement. If connecting it directly to a drain isnโt an option for you, you can empty it manually by removing the internal container, which is easy to take out. You also donโt need to worry about spills because it stops working when it detects the tank is full. In a bathroom, it might seem a bit noisy, but in a more open space, the sound feels light. Itโs easy to set up using either the built-in buttons on the dehumidifier or the remote control. It comes with an instruction manual, though itโs so simple to figure out that in about 5 minutes, youโll know exactly what to press to get the settings you want. So far, itโs worked well for me. I like that I can set it to the humidity level I want and just leave it running for days until I need to empty the tank.

High Quality, Excellent Operation & Extended Warranties! Quite a Unit!
You know how, sometimes, you bring a product home, and slowly start to realize just how good it really is? Well, this is that machine! To start, I could not believe just how well it was packaged from the factory. A really excellent job. It means that the physical shipping could be a bit rough, but any potential damage is mitigated by simply the packaging design. One opened and set on the floor, I was struck at just how good it looks. I have long tired of "white blocks" called dehumidifiers. Man, those things are ugly! This unit? Beautiful! But looks aren't anything without performance. And here is where this beauty shines! It works better than any other dehumidifier I have ever owned. And I have owned a lot over the years - because they never seem to last. Short warranties, poor manufacturing and cheap control components. No wonder... When first switched on, I was impressed at the absence of the huge "kick" of a compressor starting up. There was no "rock and roll" of the unit, no dimming of the lights on the street (ok, that never happened!) - just a quiet hum of a controlled start. At speed, the unit is very quiet. The two-speed fan is extremely efficient, pushing air up into the ceiling of our basement, without any strain. My only minor issue is the squirrel cage of the fan. It is mounted at a slight angle, causing the fan to wobble a bit. It certainly does not effect volume, but I do believe the fan would be just a tiny bit quieter without the vibration from this wobble. The tank inserts and extracts easily, and what I love, is a simple, clear strip of plastic, that allows you to view the water level. A great, simple, idea! Why hasn't this been done before? Again, I believe it is superior engineering and people dedicated to producing a better product. On the outside of the unit, just above the tank, there is a small, round, white silicone flap. When you open this, you will see this is exactly where the water travel to, before it drops into the tank below. At this point, you can connect the supplied clear plastic hose and simply run it into a floor drain, for example. This way, you don't have to remember to empty the bucket anytime but you do loose that pure water. Personally, I keep a gallon or two of this water for a steam iron and a steam cleaner. It's free, already distilled, water! Four independent moving wheels, make for easy placement around your home. Easy access to the air filter, makes that job quicker. The entire unit is smaller than my current, old unit, much lighter and looks so much better. The last point I need to make, again, is the smart engineering of this unit. As stated in the copy, rather than 5mm tubing inside, this one uses 7mm ones - and more of them. Not aluminum, but all copper. If you read the copy yourself, you can see that Aeocky has simply built a better "mouse trap"! The inside designs, the higher quality "guts" and exterior good looks, and made a superior product for the market. How good? Three year full warranty and five years on the compressor! Bottom Line - If I ever need a second dehumidifier, this is the one I go to. Excellent operation! To me, that's the most important. Smart features are things to consider, but again, this unit has those too! When you roll it all up, and add in the extended warranty, this is an easy deal!

Quiet and Effective Dehumidifier with Convenient Drain Hose
This was an excellent dehumidifier for our basement. I like this this one has a drain tube instead of relying on tanks that I need to take out occasionally. We have this right by a drain in the basement and it has worked well. It works well enough to make a noticeable difference on the humidistat. In theory, you could move it around... it's on casters that roll around well... but we have it in the basement and have no intention of moving it around. It runs quietly enough that I can be in the next room and will not be able to hear it.

Great dehumidifier
Replaced an older worn-out unit in my basement, which is *very* wet without assistance. It's been running 24/7 for months and is showing no signs of slowing down. Keeps the relative humidity around 35% in the basement (much lower than I'd prefer, but necessary due to the geography where my house is built) - which if you'd seen my basement without a dehumidifier, you'd know is impressive. Easy to set up (it's a dehumidifier), stuck the drain hose in a condensate pump that runs to my sump pump and that was it. I clean the filter every month or so, but aside from that it just runs. Would recommend.

Works Great and Without Fuss
This is a great dehumidifier that works super well and covers the entire area of my 1300 sqft place. It says up to 1500 sqft, and given my experience I'm inclined to believe that number. This unit is pretty sleek and not overly large or bulky. It sits neatly against a wall or in a corner and is neutral enough in design and quiet enough that you can have it on in any living space and forget about it. Kind of like a humidifier that makes a soft white noise in the background, or a soft fan. Same level of noise roughly. It is pretty plug-and-play out of the box, nothing wildly complicated to set up. The most complicated would be if you want it set up for continuous drainage with the included tube/pipe, but for my home I didn't have the need nor location that would work for that, so I just empty the canister periodically. The tank is 5.2L so I haven't had to empty it more than one every couple days, even during this brutal heatwave we've experienced, so that's great. The system is simple. You set the humidity you want, it runs until it hits that, then has an auto-off feature and will turn itself back on if the humidity jumps above that again (like AC units do with temperature). This works really well so far, and the overall time to get to my desired humidity was pretty fast too. Took about an hour or so to get to where it was comfortable, which is a decent speed. It also has a timer feature so you can set it to run continuously for however long (up to 24 hours if timing it), then turn off, which is cool too. Not much else to it that I can tell. It is lightweight enough that I can move it to storage during the winter when dryness is the problem instead, so that's a good feature also. I definitely recommend this one.
