Amazing tattoo balm from aftercare to daily use.
This is my second time having this product - my first run was a gift from a friend a few years ago and I used it for aftercare as well as just keeping my tattoos looking fresh. I have mildly sensitive skin and am mindful of the products I use, and this was an excellent addition to the routine. When I moved cross-country, I lost my last tin so when I scheduled the tattoo I just got, I knew I had to pick it up. It doesn’t have a color so it won’t affect the coloring or irritate the tattoo, it has no scent at all - doesn’t smell strongly one way or another and I love the neutral smell. It is great for maintaining and brightening older tattoos as well as for aftercare on new tattoos. The 2 oz tin lasts FOREVER even with daily use, and for that it’s a good cost. I will use this tattoo balm until either I or the company cease to be.

Excellent product and not just for tattoos!!
I just got my 9th tattoo done about 5 days ago and didn’t want to spend almost $15 on Aquaphor. I searched for tattoo balms here on amazon and came across a few products, this one included. I’ve never heard of this product before but the reviews were great and the price per ounce was excellent, especially compared to the well known tattoo products. I received this product on January 20, 2020. It came in a cool box and the product itself it in a round tin container with nice graphics on it. I opened the tin and tried the balm on my new tattoo, which is dry and scaly at this point of the healing process. There is hardly any scent at all and the consistency is silky smooth. It made my tattoo feel immediately less irritated as well as soothed. The dryness was gone and it felt amazing. I’ve been using it for only 3 days and it works so well that I also started using it on my dry hands! The winter weather makes my hands dry and rough and this product softened it. I also use it as a cuticle balm for my fingernail cuticles that also get dry in the winter and lead to hangnails that are painful. This product softened them as well!! Not only is my tattoo healing better (see pic), but my hands and cuticles are softer! I highly recommend this dual purpose tattoo balm. It’s an amazing product and the value is excellent. I like it better than aquaphor and A & D ointment , which I normally use for my tattoos during healing. It’s cheaper and works so much better. I’m so glad I came across this product. Thanks for making this!!

Moisturizing
This stuff works great. Moisturizes and protects. Tattoo cracking, after applying it looks smooth again. A can will last several tattoos if you use it just for the healing phase.

Wow! Don't Hesitate!
I used to use the famous Tattoo Goo for years, but after price increases, I needed to find something more practical, especially for bigger tattoos, like the back piece I just got. With the Goo, you get 0.75oz for double the price of this amazing product that comes in 2oz, more than double the quantity, and is actually WAY MORE soothing! The scent is subtle and smells amazing. This makes my skin soooo soft as well! I am in awe and I am going to keep buying this product as long as it is around!

Read this first if you’re new to tattoos (or I guess new to tattoo balm).
First things first, I’m forever a user of tattoo balm after using this and tattoo goo. I used tattoo goo first, but I think this one is a better value for the amount you get plus it smells good. I’m not paid by them, I just enjoy this product and find it to be better than what I used to use. I’m over 10 large tattoos deep and almost 2 full arm sleeves so I’ve tried a lot. Water based lotion is often recommended for tattoos and IT’S STILL GOOD, but I recommend balm after using it for my last 3. A tattoo is an open wound technically speaking, so a balm from a healing and moisturizing perspective is better than a lotion. I’m not going to pretend to know the science behind it, 2 of my nurse friends explained that to me so I’ll let someone who knows better than I do explain that. I’ve cut my healing and peeling time for my tattoos from 2-2.5 weeks with lotion to 6-7 days for peeling with a few residual days of dryness with balm. Beyond that, the quality of healing is FAR better. Far less touch ups. In the pictures I posted, I had nothing touched up on my Shenron (green dragon) and hardly anything for the colorful ones on my forearm. Perhaps the biggest improvement is that my tattoos get infected far less, virtually zero now. If you’re new to tattoos, “infection” isn’t necessarily bad. It’s pretty common for anything remotely large or detailed. Just means the tattoo scabs a little deeper with a deeper wound and it takes longer for that part to heal and peel. Whatever part of your body your tattoo is on WILL be oily, sticky to any clothes, etc etc when you use this balm. Your hands will be slick from applying and require washing well to remove it. But, a week ish worth of discomfort from that is absolutely worth it for a lifetime of a good quality healing for your tattoo. As a moderate/experienced person in getting tattoos, I recommend using balm instead of lotion and will continue to use this one unless I find a better one. Thanks for the great product!

LOVE this stuff!
LOVE this stuff! I've used it on 6 tattoos so far and it's the best product I've ever used for aftercare. Spreads easily and evenly, keeps skin super soft, dab off the excess and it doesn't transfer to or stain clothing. 10/10

Go back to the old tin!
Works pretty well for almost healed or just healed ink. Points off for changing the tin it comes in. The old tin was thicker with less diameter, about the size of a tin of dip. New tin is wide and flat which makes it a pain in the ass to open and close, and doesn’t fit well into pockets. Go back to the old tin Viking!

👉 Note : 4,5 / 5

Southes the itching and super soft
Really helped me during the healing process. I needed something to help reduce the itching and the redness and this did a wonderful job. Will use it again for my next tattoo!

Not best for the fresh tattoos
I have tried this product and its not very good for the fresh tattoos. The tattoo takes a longer time to heal than when using simple and cheaper creams found in any pharmacy like Bepathene cream. Considering the price of the cream you would expect great things but there is no difference between this balm verses other cheaper tattoo creams on the market. There is no scent to the cream and it takes some time to be absorbed into the skin. I will not be buying it again simply because I think its overpriced.
