I bought this thinking I could use it like an "inhaler", taking a dose sublingually before exercise. It acts as systemic bronchodilator. But I found that didn't work. I needed to establish a base. So I took it according to the label for a couple of weeks (4x/day). And then, a well-timed dose (one of the four, not an extra dose), 15 minutes before high-load physical exertion, did make a difference. Some other things it does: eases muscle cramps, binds to nicotine receptors and may help with quitting cigarettes. Do your due diligence with this herb. Overdoses are possible. I work in a school and live in a zone with a lot of allergens, so I'm always sniffling, with postnasal drip trying to settle in my lungs despite allergy meds. And let me tell you, within 30 minutes of taking 20 drops in my coffee, everything cleared! My constantly-dripping sinuses and my lungs are clear!!! It's been a week and I'm still clear and it's glorious! I took 20 drops (as suggested on the label) in liquid 3 times on the 1st day, 2 times on the second, and have been taking it once a day after that. Will taper off to 10 drops for a week and then stop to see how that works. If I start getting congested again, I will restart. Nothing else I had done (literally dozens of other remedies) has done what this Herb Farm lobelia has done. This is as clear as a set of lungs and sinuses can get. Internally, this is wonderful, but it really shines when put on the skin in the painful area.

WOW! I have been struggling with a hiatal hernia for a LONG TIME. I visit a holistic doctor who is able to move my stomach and diaphragm back down where it should be. I get immense relief from that, but overtime, my stomach goes back up as well as my diagram and the symptoms come back. I bought lobelia because after a ton of research because it loosens the stomach and makes it easier for stomach to go down. Well, IT WORKS!! Lobelia in this product is a standard extract -and an excellent preparation (NOT FOR USE DURING PREGNANCY) - I like Herb Pharm extracts as they are dependably uniform and this is not true of all of the extract products available. I use this mostly externally, because I take internal capsules of formulas (Dr. Christopher Complete Tissue & Bone) which also contain Lobelia for skeletal maintenance, but as a weekly regime, because of my age and the physical labor I do daily, I do use this in tea (a few drops daily) along with Ruta Graveolens - another Herb Pharm extract. These have relieved for me lung issues, nerve and other pain issues, bronchitis is totally gone, foot cramps at night are gone, injuries treated externally with drops of lobelia fade away, and my neighbors MIGRAINES are gone from using it as well. Named after noted French botanist Mattias del Lobel, Lobelia has anti-spasmodic, anti-asthmatic and expectorant properties. It works both as a stimulant and relaxant on the nerves. When used with other herbs in small doses, it works as a stimulant (2). When used in larger doses, it works as a relaxant. Its main ingredients are isolobelanine and lobeline.

This product is amazing! I know reviews say it taste bad, but you are probably doing it wrong. I quit smoking cigarettes 7 years ago. Then picked up vaping the last 3 years. I’ve been an autoimmune patient for 15 years, and I’ve been hospitalized 5 times this year with no answers but it has to do with my GI tract. I’ve been sick every day for a year in a half and I wanted to kick the vape. It’s expensive. I’m already sick, so it didn’t help the cause. But on day one I noticed a difference. Day 3, don’t even think about the vape. I put it in my coffee. And I put it in my Gatorade. Or Hot tea. If you put any form of a Tincture in water- of COURSE it’s going to be nasty. Pretty simple. Since the C virus i’ve been having alot of recurring breathing problems very frequently. Earlier i managed with some homeopathy but this time i tried this extract after it was recommended by amazon with muellin extract. This is what i needed up needing after feeling asthmatic with bronchitis & costochontritis. (My bronchodilator wasnt helping this time - it has always worked) It took about 10 days for me to start breathing normally again. The only issue I had was the alcohol content- initially ot gave me tummy issues and headache so i had to always have it after food. I ordered another brand without alcohol so I can drink it in the middle of night or early morning when wheezing sets in. Just a tip to add drops to water instead of water to the tincture so you don’t get bitter alcohol taste in your last sip!

it's so good product

My sister has dysphagia which is difficulty swallowing with mucus buildup. I dilute a few drops in water, place the dropper into her mouth and lobelia breaks up her mucus so she can expectorate it. Lobelia is good for the respiratory system and it is the second bottle I have ordered. My elderly mother takes it for her musculoskeletal support. It has not eliminated the pain so natural topical substances are also needed but it works from the inside out so this takes time. I know lobelia is good as a sedative so I may try a few drops. Herbs help!

Sometimes I just have to admit that I can't grow everything well. When I use a few drops in a carrier (half a tablespoon of wine or whisky) I can actually feel myself taking a deeper breath now and then, while resting (without trying). I have an awful habit of shallow breathing so I'm using this with great results.
