DJI Neo 2 Extended Battery - Works as advertised
I received the extended battery ahead of schedule. It uses the same base of the original Neo 2 battery with the height being a little higher due to the larger battery. I charged it via the 3 battery charger with two of my standard batteries using a 65W power brick. Then put it in my Neo 2 and flew in hover mode with the extended which ran for over 20 minutes. The battery gets a little warm-hot which is to be expected. After a 10 minute cooldown, I charged the extended battery with it in my Neo 2. I used my 65W power brick for both ways to charge the extended battery. I performed the same hover test and still got over 20 minutes flight time. Based on my experience with this extended battery I would highly recommend its use. My next test will be flying the Neo 2 under normal flight conditions with it. The only thing to be aware of is that the battery does get warm/hot after each flight with the extended battery. I get about 5 minutes of extra flight time. Iโve not noticed any issues with my Neo 2 using it or charging it with my 3 battery charger or within the Neo 2 (other than it takes more time to charge because itโs a larger battery). I plan to continue testing and may purchase 2 more extended batteries once Iโm confident that everything continues to work properly with no problems! I will include those results with this review one I do more flying with it. So far Iโm satisfied with the additional flight time and itโs worth the additional cost! Update: Iโm impressed with the extra flight time this battery provides. Iโve been using the extended battery exclusively lately and Iโve discovered that it actually runs cooler than the stock battery. Instead of getting 11 to 12 minutes flight time with the stock battery before I have to RTH. Iโm now getting 18 to 20 minutes flight time with the extended battery before I have to RTH. Also when checking my flight logs the Neo 2 recognizes the extended battery as a stock battery. The importance of this fact is that it wonโt violate your warranty by showing you are using an extended battery. It sees it exactly like a stock battery. In summary after using this extended battery to fly under every circumstance that I fly my Neo 2 under Iโm very satisfied with the quality, extended flight time and reliability that Iโve decided to purchase two more extended batteries. For my personal needs the extra flight time is a game changer with my DJI Neo 2. I wish DJI would incorporate this extended battery as a standard feature! But until that happens, Iโll purchase and use this extended battery. In my opinion & experience this extended battery is worth the additional cost for the value it provides!

Work well, adds some extra weight
Have had three of these. First one worked fine, but in a crash the battery ejected and has not been seen since. Direct frontal impact on left side. The extra weight of the battery isn't something designed into the host's battery containment mechanism. Second battery works fine, but notice less than perfect fit from time to time and it seems to show some swelling on the underside, which lessens with mild thumb massage of the belly of the battery. The fit seems to improve after this, just enough to ensure no space visible between battery and host bodies. Third one, purchased as replacement for second battery, works fine so far. Also has slightest belly swelling upon receipt, but fit is fine. Decided to retain the second battery after seeing swelled area on third, which I realize may not be an issue at all. If swelling worsens will note here in an update. I can't comment on battery life as length of time necessary to know hasn't passed yet, and thus far no detriment is noticed. Perhaps 20 discharges on the 2nd thus far. Generally this battery does what is needed by adding extra energy capacity and allowing wider array of use cases of the host. The extra weight does modify the characteristics of the host modestly.

I trusted the battery and it cost me a $400 drone. Not happy!
I would be very careful using this battery. I donโt have a problem with the seller. But I do have a problem with the product and I want to clarify. I used this battery in 80ยฐF beautiful weather over a waterfall and had shot some beautiful pictures over a ravin. Just three minutes into my shoot the drone started to overheat and stop reacting to any input from my controller. What followed was a slow decline into an unreachable bush. After letting it sit for 10 minutes, the battery cooled down enough to where I could restart the drone and I attempted to fly up and as it was on its way back to me within 10 feet of me, grabbing it the battery indicator came on and it did a slow drop tumbling into the ravine which was impossible to get to. So there seems to be a problem once the battery starts to overheat it drops the power exponentially as I had 40% battery still left and as soon as it started to overheat, it dropped to zero rapidly. so I lost not only a $400 drone but $100 battery and the extended range antennas as well. This product does not handle any kind of temperature at all and is not stable. I would not use this on your drone. Even though under normal cool conditions, you might get extra battery life itโs not worth the instability of losing a several hundred dollar drone. I will not be using these modified Chinese batteries again in the future.

Worth the cost
A little pricey but worth the cost. Close to twice the flight time also the battery doesn't get as hot as the original. Weight can always an issue with smaller drones. Avoid higher winds it can get unstable for video capture and flight.

Dji neo 2 upgraded Battery
Highly recommend .... the shipping feels LONG but only took 2 weeks from order date .. So it shouldn't take the full ETA estimate ... tracking with update , the battery is thick & the weight being on top of the drone causes a slight imbalance but it doesn't effect image .... So yes it does last longer !!! I didn't track the time but compared to OEM it feels like having 50% more battery. SO I Do recommend this battery .. it lasts longer then OEM and takes slightly longer to charge.... ... what would be cool is if people do a upgrade trade in for modding oem battery's or a Core exchange refund I would say get 2 of these .... one is great but shipping takes a long time and if your a serious NEO user you wont regret having a second.... The OEM battery drains So rapidly ... This at least drains at a slower rate It changes the feel of the drone from a quick shot toy to actually being able to plan something
