Thai Kitchen Gluten Free Red Curry Paste, 4 oz (Pack of 6)

Lovely. I keep the green curry paste and the red curry paste as a pantry staple. I dont often find it in store, so I am pleased to be able to buy it in a pack of six for a reasonable price. From my experience the paste lasts forever unopened on a shelf, so I am not concerned with best by or expiration dates. Packs a lot of flavor. I add this to a can of coconut milk, add some vegetables, sometimes a protein, then add over rice. Quick meal that tastes fancy.

This curry paste has such good flavor, especially when combined with coconut milk for a stir-fry. It's getting harder to find it in my local stores, though, so I am glad to be able to get it on Amazon in a multipack. Depending on how you use it, I'm sure it could be spicy for some, but my kids eat it without complaint, so I think it's pretty mild.

I'm new at using curry and making these types of foods. Keeping that in mind, this ready to use curry paste is wonderful! It is easy to use, tastes great and fresh and can be used in many different dishes. I like added it to soup,putting it in a base mixture of sauted onions and mushrooms, etc., then adding the curry paste, and later adding vegetable or chicken broth and more.

So I've been using this excellent paste for about a year now after first tasting Thai curry in a restaurant... and loving Thai curry for the very first time ever despite all the excessive sweetness in what I tasted in that first restaurant. I thought: I MUST MAKE CURRY AT HOME TO *MY* TASTES -- NO SWEET!!! So I went to cookbooks, took some online courses, did a lot of very complicated things... and after months of not getting things quite right, finally discovered this most excellent simple fix-in-a-jar. The ingredients match my requirements (no weird excessive "gunk"). After mixing a dozen combinations of my own homemade spice mixes over a period of weeks, I was pleased with some of my efforts, but then one day tried this paste as part of an ingredient mix. WOW! I must say... I went through a huge amount of experimentation and trials, but the day I tried just a little bit of this paste, well, I will not admit to failure, but fact is... what's in this tiny jar is pure magic!

Came as pictured. Great flavor and made diner easier for the night. Great texture, consistency, flavor- just add your favorite meats and season to taste.

Primo stuff! Great for my vegan kids - COULD be more spicy, tho if you like that pop 😉

This is a nice paste, not too spicy and easy to cook with, however there is no way that these little jars of curry paste should cost over $8. We now have a supply that will last us for quite a while and at a much more reasonable price.

We love curry. It’s a frequent meal in our house, and we always have curry pastes on hand. We prefer other, more authentic brands of curry paste over this one (favorites are Maesri and Mae Ploy) , but we don't make it to Asian groceries as often as we’d like and this is a good, cheap, easy to find alternative! One jar of this lasts us about two meals- we do about two tablespoons per jar of coconut milk. It’s not very hot (especially compared to other brands), so your ratio may vary and you may want to use more paste. I love that this comes in little glass bottles (we reuse and try to avoid plastics as much as possible). One gripe I do have is that the little bottles are shaped in such a way that it is difficult to get all the paste out. I solve that by adding some coconut milk TO the jar, shaking it up, and pouring into the pan from there. That prevents you from wasting any of the deliciousness. :)
