Review: Works great - very cute!! - I ordered a set of these recently, after I saw pictures of a "cake" that was made by cutting out a big cake-shaped cylinder of watermelon and then using cookie cutters to cut "leaves" out of melon that you attach to the "cake" with toothpicks. I found that if I cut cantaloupe, peaches, or apples into flat, even surfaces about 1/8 inch thick, then I could use these cookie cutters to cut out shapes. These fruit shapes are absolutely adorable!! I've used them on a "watermelon cake" and for sending to school with my kids. The funniest one was when I made an apple cutout that was made of apple. Cleanup was easy -- I ran them through the dishwasher, in the top rack, in a small closed plastic basket that is meant for washing baby items. I haven't yet tried using these cookie cutters on dough, but they look to me like they would work well with dough, too. Overall, I am delighted with these cookie cutters and expect to use them many times in the future.

I ordered a set of these recently, after I saw pictures of a "cake" that was made by cutting out a big cake-shaped cylinder of watermelon and then using cookie cutters to cut "leaves" out of melon that you attach to the "cake" with toothpicks. I found that if I cut cantaloupe, peaches, or apples into flat, even surfaces about 1/8 inch thick, then I could use these cookie cutters to cut out shapes. These fruit shapes are absolutely adorable!! I've used them on a "watermelon cake" and for sending to school with my kids. The funniest one was when I made an apple cutout that was made of apple. Cleanup was easy -- I ran them through the dishwasher, in the top rack, in a small closed plastic basket that is meant for washing baby items. I haven't yet tried using these cookie cutters on dough, but they look to me like they would work well with dough, too. These tools are so much fun to use. I have made a pumpkin pie today and have used the leaf shape cutter. It is very easy to use. There is also an apple shape, cherry shape and heart shape ones that was in the box. I am adding some pictures for you guys to see. I think the leaf ones can be used for maple cookies as well. So beautiful. I highly recommend them. Thank you Amazon :)
