I really like it! You get the radio with a basic antenna which as others say is not good. This is no reflection on the radio, the CB wavelength is 11 meters so no rubber duck antenna on any CB will be any good. However if you buy a telescoping antenna at 1.2m or so for £20 you will improve it massively! It has a 6 cell pack with it for alkaline batteries and an additional 8 cell pack for it with rechargeable. The wall charger is not modern, it was designed in the days of Ni-cads and as such doesn’t ‘shut down’. You are advised in the manual to unplug it. It lasts a very long time in batteries so I simply remove them, replace and carry on. The car kit is really good. You can plug a mag mount in and you are now speaking to 10 miles plus. Really good things are AM, FM, digital squelch works well (removes static). No single side band but nothing at this price has. Great kit, just remember you need rubber duck for mates at line of sight (I wouldn’t bother - PMR like the Midland G9 pro is loads better for that), mag mount with 1-1.5m antenna (5-10 mile range) or a base station with proper antenna (20 miles plus). If you are just getting into it then this allows you to have a hand held, in car (great for this) and at home (either off batteries or with a 12V supply). I really rate it.

This radio is mighty fine. Saw a lot of people on the Internet saying the supplied antenna is not that good. I swapped that out for a cheap 27MHz whip antenna. Yesterday, sitting in a Dorset car park, I picked up a station from the Netherlands for sure and possibly a German station, as well as locals. First time using cb since the 70s. Good to be back! The supplied car attachment looks really good but I haven't yet checked it out. Really great radio that works out of the box. Remember, using the small 6 battery pack will only Tx on low power. The supplied 8 battery pack gives the full 4W. Also remember to choose UK frequencies when you fire it up. Follow the easy instructions. Enjoy!

Nice handheld CB but not without flaws. PROS. CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS, 3 means of power... battery/car 12v/rechargable battery, clear screen, loud volume, multi band. CONS, instead of car power, a USB/Mains power option would have been a better especialy as USB is so wide spread. For good use the radio requires 12v wired or 9v battery (6 x 1.5v alkaline) , but the rechargable option uses 6 rechargable (1.2v )batteries = 7.2v instead of a 9 or 12v tithium ion battery, this means the radio is under powered as a rechargable making contact over 1/4 mile unlikely. Supplied aeriel or Rubber duck aeriel is about as useful as shouting and debatably less effective , any purchaser is advised to order a replacement telescopic aeriel at the same time adding at least £19 to the overall cost.

Good bit of kit just need to get out and about with it Comes with all you need charger for rechargeable batteries and a car adapter.

Wasn’t able to use it. The seal on the box was broken. I would like to add that I believe that it was this individual piece that was faulty. Not the model on the whole.

I think it’s great, it’s not busy these days as people don’t talk anymore they use WhatsApp , there are some local people around me that are always on it so earwigging is great, the supplied antenna does the job but nothing wrong with getting a better one, throw in some rechargeable batteries and you are good to go, I’ve been told my mic isn’t great which wasn’t good to hear but I’m still happy, brings back memories from back in the day, from what I have read this is the best hand held available, looks the part also, auto squelch is great for using when auto scan is on , overall I’m happy, brownie points for the wife who bought me it, come on people let’s bring CB back

J'ai bien reçu ma commande très satisfait un peut chercher pour le mettre en Europe mais mis à part ça fonctionne très bien il a tout les accessoires nécessaires je recommande merci 👍

Sensationelles Produkt, ich bin wirklich schwer begeistert von der Sendeleistung des Geräts. Was nicht so toll ist: Der zweite Akkupack funktioniert leider nicht, lädt die Akkus nicht, funktioniert nur mit Batterien, was sehr schade ist. Ich habe mir noch eine Teleskopantenne dazubestellt, wollte eigentlich nur so spaßeshalber hören, was sich in der Umgebung tut, bzw. auch für ein eventuelles Blackout gerüstet zu sein. Und siehe da, ich empfange den Funk im Umkreis von 80-100 km. Der weiteste Funker, den ich gut empfangen habe, war aus Belgien. Wahnsinn! Ich selber kann nicht so weit funken, aber hören bei guten Bedingungen sehr wohl. 100% Igel Kaufempfehlung.

ne ho preso una nuova avevo la prima serie questa è un up grade molto utile con batteria al lithio comprata da me e bande europee molto meglio della precedente poi ds vuol dire meno rumori e squelch quasi automatico le altre cb portatili sono più complicate da usare questa è semplice ed intuitiva il portatile con antenna esterna va a bomba ed anche con uno stilo comprato a parte va molto meglio del gommino naturalmente unica PECCA manca il porta ricetrasmittente che non è essenziale ma il prezzo è buono a me piace e mi serve semplice
