Cardcaptor Sakura Volume 2

Awesome product. The page quality is good, print is good, binding is good. There are even coloured pages and artwork included at the end of each chapters. Plus you get three volumes in one book and at a great price. Every cardcaptor fan should own it. Highly recommended even if you are not a fan of the series.

Por lo general no me gusta comprar manga en inglés ya que las ediciones y el papel distan mucho de las que tenemos aquí en España(las cuales se parecen bastante al producto original), teniendo las anglosajonas papel amarillento y un formato sin solapas que no respeta el original japonés. Pero lo cierto es que la editorial Dark Horse, la que publica este manga siempre ha tenido una presentación más cuidada que sus competidoras. En este caso no es para menos y el tomo viene con varias páginas a color y un buen papel que los fans de la obra valorarán mucho ya que si por algo destancan las CLAMP (autoras de este manga) es por su cuidado y bonito dibujo. La historia por otro lado es un clásico ya que creo que será fácil de disfrutar para aquellos que busquen un manga ligero y entrañable con un toque de chica mágica.

Cardcaptor Sakura is one of those classic anime/manga series that anime fans so often recall with fond memories. Having watched the anime series when I was little, I wanted to read the manga that it was based on. Picking up the story directly from where Cardcaptor Sakura: Omnibus Volume 1 leaves off, this volume further explores the character of Sakura's mysterious new teacher, Kaho Mizuki. The story progresses considerably, with lots of action as Sakura closes in on the final remaining Clow cards. Some twists occur along the way, always making it an exciting read. To any manga fan who has never read the Cardcaptor Sakura series, do yourself a favor. Read it! You won't regret it.

Really good condition and state

Nota para el lector: Los "omnibus" de Cardcaptor Sakura son editados por Dark Horse Comics y son una colección de cuatro tomos que recopilan los 12 tomos originales de Cardcaptor Sakura. En el caso de esta colección, cada omnibus recopila tres tomos, por lo que este segundo omnibus recopila desde el tomo 4 hasta el tomo 6 de Sakura, cerrando el primer arco argumental de la historia. Ah, y esta colección es en inglés, por si están con la dudas sobre que idioma está traducido el manga. Cardcaptor Sakura es uno de mis animes favoritos desde hace ya más de una década, hasta recuerdo que hice el día que se estrenó la segunda película en Cartoon Network y sé que renté el DVD varias veces cuando todavía era disponible en algunos lugares. Hace un año o dos compré por Amazon el primer tomo de Cardcaptor Sakura, editado por Dark Horse Comics. Esa vez lo compré de un vendedor ajeno a Amazon y era un producto usado, así que el gasto de envío fue realmente mayor al costo de dicho producto (3 o 4 dólares). Por motivos varios no tuve la oportunidad de continuar con la compra de los tres siguientes tomos de CCS, pero ya que Amazon Mexico abrió decidí continuar con la colección. El libro no lo he comenzado a leer, pero lo vi por encima y todo parece perfecto. El tomo es muy grande y algo pesado, algo normal si tenemos en cuenta que está recopilando varios tomos pequeños. Aun así, por el precio y el contenido vale la pena la compra. Para que se hagan una idea del tamaño de un omnibus de CCS, puse encima del tomo una caja de un juego de 3DS.

This second omnibus edition of the `Cardcaptor Sakura' manga contains volumes four to six of this greatly entertaining series. The volumes in this omnibus conclude the first half of the series as Sakura collects the final few cards before being judged to see if she is worthy of becoming the new master of the Clow Cards. The omnibus follows the same style as the previous one having slightly larger pages than usual for a manga and includes a number of full colour pages to show off the full beauty of the artwork. The story continues to be interesting, if somewhat episodic, with some of my favourite story arcs of the series in this book, including the school field trip arc and the brilliant holiday arc. The ending of the capture arc is also very well done with some good twists and some nice scenes. The only minor problem with the series is that there are some small issues with the translation but they don't detract from the enjoyment of the series. Overall this was a very good book with some truly beautiful artwork, a good plot and some interesting characters. `Cardcaptor Sakura' is truly a classic of the magic girl genre and I am very much looking forward to the release of the next omnibus.
