I actually prefer these to the Daelmans brand
I've been buying these for years and while I have had a few better batches than others; going through my orders, looks like on average I pay about $15 per 40ct box; which is pretty good to me. I have resorted to buying different brands, and if I ever saw the ones at costco, whichever brand they are; at a price of $8.99 per box (as per a reviewer I just red from), I'd jump on those as well. Like I said, I have tried other brands, including but not limited to Daelmans, which most reviews that mention them seem to prefer; which is why I decided to leave a review of my own, since I wholeheartedly prefer these. I wouldn't be surprised if the Daelmans stayed fresh for longer, since, at least the packs I've gotten before, were individually wrapped. In all fairness, the few times I've had Daelmans, I can say they are super consistent and you always know exactly what you're getting, while with these, some batches are better than others. However, when these are good, they are, imo, the absolute best. And when they're bad, they're just alright. At similar price per lb, I'd still prefer these. Even knowing there's a gamble involved in whether I'll get a good batch or a bad one. In the last 10 boxes I've ordered, perhaps one has been bad, and perhaps 6 have been especially good. The rest, the average ones, I still prefer over Daelmans. So, with odds of 9 out of 10, I'll stick to these. Just thought I'd mention this since most reviews mentioning other brands seem to prefer the other brand. Important maybe to keep in mind, these were the ones I had first, and loved. Maybe it would've been different if my wife's parents had Daelmans that fateful day I had these for the first time. I'll keep my eyes open for when they go down in price again.

So good
These. Are. Delicious. Everyone in our family, and all guests who have tried these love them. They rest nicely on top of a cup of hot coffee, tea, or cocoa, and they soften as they are warmed up. Imagine a fresh, warm, malted caramel waffle cone, then dip it in your tea. So good!

A bargain price, but just a hair small on size.
Bought these as my local supplies ran short and the price was much more affordable. These are however about 1cm smaller in diameter than the previous ones I was getting and they just ever so barely balance atop my coffee mugs. They still work, and are still delightful, just wish they were a hair bigger so it wasn't a delicate balancing act on your average size mug.

If you don’t know, now you know.
This is the real deal. I love reading the “1 stars”. They (mostly) are showing their ignorance. I first discovered the stroopwaffle 12 years ago. I was studying in Amsterdam and had my first “can” of le chef’s amazing cookies (Well, that’s what this ignorant chef calls them :)! Understand that they are not really supposed to be eaten as a cookie but that is my favorite way to enjoy them. They are actually supposed to be set on the top of a hot mug beverage-the sweet cookie and caramel melt. What is left at the end of your “hot coco” is magical. I, however, am addicted to them as cookies. They call me at night (not even joking)! I spill crumbs everywhere but not to worry my pup LOVES the crumbs. The first bite is not the best especially if you don’t know- but that’s ok - something magical starts to happen about half way through. Then ur hooked. They are basically a waffle cone filled with a thin layer of caramel and if your really lucky, you will get some hardened around the outside, stuck to the package. Those are the BEST. They are overpriced. Be careful, some come as a “30 pack” not a “40 pack” This seller was ‘reasonably priced’ ehhhhh Other brands are good also, these are authentic.

Good value, great flavor
Put one of these guys over your cup of coffee in the morning and it'll soon warm up and be a little bit of heaven. Great way to start the day! They can be a little chewy otherwise, but I still like them a lot.

Terrible Terrible Terrible!!!!!
Do not buy these! Get the Daelmans instead!! Where to start: 1) Smaller than the Daelmans, they will not fit on top of most of the coffee cups I own, and I don't have giant coffee cups. The Daelmans fit well; 2) Even though the supposed expiration date is July of 2021, they seem stale. Hard as rocks. And the inner packaging tore very easily, not a good sign as to how fresh/unfresh they are. So they take forever to soften up when placing it on top of your cup of coffee, provided you can find a cup small enough that will work for you; 3) they can't be returned! So now I own 40 Stroopwaffels! Once again, don't waste your money on these, take my word for it. Get the Daelmans!!!!

These are just okay; "Daelmans" are MUCH better!
This is the third time I've purchased Dutch Stroopwafels, and this is the first time I've purchased this brand. I do not recommend this brand. This brand was just okay. They were extremely tough, and they were also stale. If you do not heat these up over a cup of tea or coffee (or pop into the microwave for about 5 - 10 seconds), your jaws will literally hurt and ache from trying to chew them. Their flavor was just okay...pretty "flat." I tried this brand because they were the best deal, as far as cost goes. There are 40 Stroopwafels in this box. Inside the box you will find 4 packages, with 10 Stroopwafels per bag. The cellophane bags are closed with a plastic-coated metal clasp, which is fairly easy to open and close. Overall, these Stroopwafels are just okay. If you want the best, softest, most delicious, and most flavorful Stroopwafels, go ahead and spend a little bit more and buy "Daelmans Original Wafer, Caramel Stroopwafel" (available here on Amazon). "Daelmans Stroopwafels" are truly the best when it comes to these treats; they are DEFINITELY worth the money. Second to "Daelmans" is the brand (as it appears on Amazon), "100% Butter Verweij Stroopwafels." If you search by that term, you will find them. Their flavor was wonderful, but they are more "crumbley" than Daelmans. I've tried other Daelmans Stroopwafels (including the Mini's), and they are hands down the best Stroopwafels you can get. Disclaimer: I am not an employee of Amazon, nor am I an employee of, or interested party in, any of these Stroopwafel makers. I am simply a mom and consumer/end-user. I have not been paid, nor incentivized in any way, by Amazon, nor any of the above mentioned companies, or anyone, to eat these Stroopwafels, or for this review. I paid for all of the above mentioned products with my own money. I hope you all find this review helpful!

Delightful
These are very good, we had a different brand given at Christmas and I liked them so much I looked on amazon wnd these were the best value, they are lovely the intention is to have with coffee however I like them as biscuits. They're not tasteless or stale they're as they should be, crispy waffle with a chewy caramel centre, the flavours are subtle and delightful.
