Unlike many spice blends that consist mainly of salt only one of this group of 7 different seasonings is salt based—the Seasoned Salt. Two of the products contain no salt—Italian Garlic and Spinach & Herb with the remainder having varying levels of salt which include Onion Onion, Garlic Garlic, Garlic Pepper and Rustic Herb.All the spice blends are packed in the same size jar but weight varies from 1.5 to 6.75 ounces. As a whole the group is flavorful and to my taste skillfully blended although admittedly it helps to like garlic, and I tasted each and will use them all whether preparing soup, garlic bread, olive oil bread dipping sauce, marinades, salad dressings, sauces, rice dishes, pasta sauces, etc.The plastic bottles arrive with a cellophane collar around the lid and top of the jar to ensure they arrive fresh and unopened. The jars have an inner seal but in most of the bottles I received it was no longer attached. Some of the bottles have a flip-top shaker lid or a double flip-top lid with a spoon size opening on one side and shaker openings on the other.For people with sensitivities and allergies the spice blends are manufactured in a facility that processes soy, milk, wheat, egg and fish. To estimate shelf-life the Best By date at the time of this review in August 2021 is 18 to 21 months in the future but dates will vary. Excellent.

I have tried so many spices over the years. I have bought the $1 cheapies at the discount stores and have also spent well over $10 for one jar at specialty stores. You definitely pay for quality and NOT all spices are made the same. Some of the mass market brands have very little flavor and taste old. They add very little seasoning to the prepared dish.In this variety pack, you get 7 nice sized bottles of spices - Garlic Pepper, Onion Onion, Garlic Garlic, Spinach & Herb, Rustic Herb and Italian Garlic Seasonings and Seasoned Salt. These are all spices that I would purchase on a regular basis because they don't contain any weird ingredients. All are everyday spices that can be used in a wide variety of dishes.The bottles are pretty standard and comparable to what you buy in any grocery store. Plastic bottles, plastic lids, security seal to keep everything fresh. I do like the added cellophane on the top. That was a nice touch and adds an extra feeling of security!I actually had a $1 bottle of garlic pepper seasoning in the cupboard so I seasoned several chicken breasts with that and the rest with the Tastefully Simple garlic pepper. (just for a side by side comparison) HUGE noticeable difference!!! The garlic flavor is so much more pronounced and flavorful. You really do get what you pay for.I have used these spices on everything - meat, potatoes, vegetables, dips, homemade dressings, etc. We have loved everything we have tried them on.The price is definitely higher than your average spice but these don't taste like average spices. Not at all!

This set is not a bunch of ground up spices that are smushed beyond recognition. With each jar, there are identifiable seasonings, vegetables, and herbs.Recognizable combinations, but each has a little something extra.Rustic herb contains the usual suspects, which would be garlic, black pepper, rosemary, salt, thyme, and spices. But they are all rustic cut. Chunks of garlic. Bigger pieces of the leafy herbs. No powder.Even the seasoned salt is chunky. Or should I say it is light flakes. Flakes of sea salt, peppers etc. Looks beautiful as you sprinkle it on just about anything.The onion and garlic seasoning both have big chunks and both make excellent dips when mixed with sour cream or yogurt.The Italian garlic makes fantastic garlic bread when mixed with butter and olive oil.Garlic pepper seasoning has a surprise bit of sweetness to it that is perfectly balanced with saltiness. Packed with flavor.Spinach herb has real dried spinach with green onion, onion, dill, and garlic. Makes buttered pasta like a gourmet meal.Both foodies and those new to cooking will love this set.

This is an incredible set of various spice combinations. My mouth watered just reading them. When they arrived, I was ready to get cooking.The first thing you may think is 90 bucks (around that at the time of this writing) for 7 containers of spices? That's crazy. I assure you, it is not. This is quality. If you want quality, it costs money. The first meal I cooked was with the Italian Garlic seasoning. I had these plain sausages. I had sauteed them with onions and mushrooms and some herbs I already had. It was good but not wow. I cooked the rest of them with the Italian Garlic from this set. It made a world of difference. My wife and son couldn't stop commenting about it.Keep in mind that these spices are a bit stronger than most. It's because this is a quality set. You probably won't need as much as you normally do.I'm looking forward to using the other ones!
