Festive and Fun Ombré Candles These Papyrus birthday candles turned out to be a great addition to our celebration. The ombré coloring is subtle but festive—it gives the cake a more polished, stylish look compared to plain candles. They’re a good length, not too short, so they stand out well on the cake without dripping wax all over. I also liked that the pack comes with 24, plenty for a full birthday setup or for use across several occasions. The flames burned cleanly and evenly, and the colors didn’t bleed or melt down the side in an unattractive way. They’re sturdier than bargain candles I’ve used in the past, which often bend or break while trying to stick them into the cake. Something to keep in mind: since they’re a bit longer, they do give off more light and can drip a touch more wax if left burning too long—so it’s best to light them right before singing and blowing out. Bottom line: Stylish, well-made candles that add a fun pop of color and a touch of elegance to any birthday cake.

These candles look just like the pictures. We only needed the red and yellow ones for a fire themed cake. They lit easy and stayed burning no problem.

I loved the rainbow hues on this and it was pretty affordable for being a more nicely designed candle. They were a lot smaller than I imagined but still worked well.
