Cheap solution to fix lost ebike keys.
Easy replacement on my ebike to sort lost battery key

Easy enough once you know what you need to buy.
Having lost the keys, it was a long google to find if I could possibly avoid drilling the lock. The othe one, I now know was an ABUS, and although this one does the job, I would in future stick to abus as it reads and even looks more secure. Nice job finished, tho. The first picture is after the first of several 4mm drills went in, and the second is the finished job. Easy fix really. Shame there’s only 2 keys, quite a surprise actually

Fits well but lasted 5 minutes
Bought this replacement lock after battery was stolen. Fitted new lock and battery, and first time out, (new) battery was stolen !! Seems this lock is not really fit for purpose as all it took to steal the battery was a hefty thump or kick. I’ve had to replace it again with my third battery but won’t be leaving the battery unattended again.

Gutes Ersatzschloss inklusive zwei schlüsseln, der Preis erscheint etwas hoch, allerdings ist der Artikel so gut wie alternativlos. Wie das Originalschloss, bietet auch dieses Schloss keinen nennenswerten Schutz vor Gewalteinwirkung und gezieltem Diebstahl des Akkus. Die feine Metallkonstruktion ist offenbar selbst mit geringer Gewaltanwendung leicht aufzubrechen.
