I love curled hair but hate the time it takes and the arm soreness from using a curling iron. I bought this assuming it would end up in the drawer of never used hair gadgets, but it actually works really well. Heats up quickly. Once you get the hang of how to hold it I can do all of my hair in about 15 minutes without the hassle and soreness of a typical curling iron. You have to hold it straight up and down, not horizontally. And the area where you put the hair is not very wide so you can't do too much hair at once. but basically you take a piece, put it in the holder, hold the unit vertically and make sure the hair is touching the side prongs, and then hit the button. The hair wraps itself around the barrel and it beeps when done. Very fast once you get used to it; too me about two times before it was second nature. I highly recommend it. I use it several times a week - and it's not going in the drawer of useless hair gadgets!

I really like this and so does my 14 year old grand daughter. Its easy to use. The back of your hair takes some practice. I have hair a couple inches past my shoulders and this works great on my length of hair.

I bought this item for my granddaughter and we celebrated an early Christmas today. We used the curling iron just one time and it heats up still but will not curl now and won't spin. We are very disappointed that we have to return it after only one use. Unhappy...
