Easy to Use and Comfortable to Hold
This Philips Epilator Series 2000 is really easy to use and comfortable in your hand. It feels well designed and not awkward or heavy to hold, which makes a big difference when using it. It works well on both body and sensitive areas and does exactly what it’s meant to. A bonus is that it has the shaver attachment to use in the days when you're feeling delicate. A reliable, straightforward epilator that’s good value and simple to use.

Great product
Great product but massage the area you are about to use it on and moisturise after, if you have sensitive skin maybe use a normal shaver as this pulls out the roots and leaves your skin red like a shaving rash. But does keep the hairs at bay for longer before you need to shave again.

It works!
It works well. Definitely trim before using the epilator. It's quite painful but better than tweezing all day.

It works, brilliant for the price too 👍
This works!!! I returned the previous one (a different model) as it didn’t at all. I’m in my early 60’s, totally new to epilating so thought I was doing it wrong before I bought the Babyliss model. Got used to the mild pain and now my legs look like they’ve been waxed. I’ve been unwell and now recovering so my hairs were disgustingly long. So attached a before and after pic

Ok for the price
Does the job, but it's very flimsy and it's not chargeable...obviously it's quite cheap too. But ok for ghe price!

I have been using Philips epilators for years now. I had a previous one from Philips which served me loyally for about 8-9 years until it finally gave up. I didn't think twice about investing in a *Philips* epilator. If you use this correctly, you could end up never having to go to a salon for waxing again and shell out thousands of rupees, not to mention the discomfort of stripping in front of strangers, the hot wax, rashes, possible burns and the general inconvenience of having to plan everything in advance. The best part of using any epilator is that you can remove hair anytime, anywhere, as long as you can find the time and space(+an electric socket for wired ones) to do it. A couple of things I'd like to share about this particular epilator: I went for the wired model instead of a wireless one because, of course, it costs less, but more importantly, I did not want the hassle of having to charge the epilator in advance. I chose this particular epilator-cum-shaver/trimmer because this is all one needs to groom their body hair by themselves. The epilator itself does the job, and the shaver head works great for trimming. You won't get the smoothness of having used a razor, but you also won't develop razor burns/itching etc that is generally associated with razors. You also do not need to invest in any additional creams/foams/oils that are required with razors. The shaver head also comes with a trimming attachment that allows you to control the length of the hair you want to retain, and can also be considered a safety cap, if you're concerned about using it on your pubic region. The shaver head works great for grooming your underarms and pubic region where it might be too painful to use the epilating head. Of course, it would need to done more frequently because the shaver doesn't pull out hair from the roots, but only shaves the shaft growing outside the skin. If you have a high pain tolerance, you can easily use the epilator head on your underarms. However, do keep your skin extra taut, or your skin might catch in the tweezers of the epilator and get nicked. As far as the problem of ingrown hairs goes, it is true that you might get them with using an epilator. But you may also get them with waxing (I did). In order to avoid that problem, consider regularly scrubbing the epilated area with body scrubs (or, you could easily buy a pair of scrubbing gloves, which are cheaper, more sustainable and last for years with proper hygiene). However, avoid scrubbing immediately after epilating as it could irritate your skin. In my years of experience using epilators, which is about 11 now, I have developed a routine that works for me. I scrub vigorously a day before I plan on using the epilator. This helps in bring the ingrown hair to surface and gives a much smoother finish the next day. This isn't compulsory, of course, in case you're in a time crunch, but it helps the epilation to last much longer. Before epilating, I make sure that my skin is absolutely clean and dry, and doesn't have any water/sweat or lotion/oil on it. It makes the entire process much faster because you don't have to keep going over the same area repeatedly. I like to take a bath with a cap or two of Dettol post epilation as a sort of anti-septic precaution, followed by thorough moisturization. You can also apply aloe vera gel to soothe your skin, especially if it's rather angry after the process. I tend to epilate every two weeks or so, in order to epilate while the regrowth is still short. Shorter hair makes the entire epilation much less painful. In case you have longer hair, or are using this for the first time, do consider shaving it off and waiting for the hair to regrow to a smaller length, or just use the shaver head and trim it to a shorter length. It is much less painful when the hair is short. Do remember to clean your epilator after EVERY USE. This lessens your chances of introducing any bacteria into your skin while epilating. You can use a brush to dust off the visible hair from the epilator head, as well as the shaver head(the blade on top is detachable too). I like to wash them under running water and just dip them in water a cap of Dettol, as an extra step to disinfect. If you're washing the attachments please do remember to leave them in an airy place where they can dry out, so as not to let it develop any kind of fungus or rust, or develop any kind of water damage. Once you get the hang of it, an epilator is much more convenient, sustainable, cheap and generally comfortable to use than to go to parlours and salons. It's an investment. Philips epilators do what they claim and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning to buy an epilator. They last ages with proper care. Cannot recommend it enough.

The product is really great , however the 4 stars are for the packaging that came with it. The outer carton was all crumpled up and torn, which was a little alarming, however the device itself looked okay, and no parts were missing so there’s that. Coming to the epilator and its functionality Design- This one’s pretty cute and looks like a tiny little pebble, love the blue and white and how handy it feels. And love that it comes with a trimmer head too! Pain- Epilating is obviously pretty painful and is not as painless as shaving or trimming. So go for it only if you’ve had your fair share of waxing , because only when you’ve gone through the pain of waxing will you be able to tolerate the wrath of the epilator xD I might be exaggerating , you’ll get used to it after the first 30 secs or so :) Does it get all the hair out? It gets almost 99 percent of your hair out in about 2 swipes, and when you see the roots on the pulled out hair, it feels really satisfying. The after results are very similar or way better if I may say so as compared to waxing since you won’t be sticky and messy after you epilate. Don’t forget to soak your hair follicles up in a nice warm shower and exfoliate before you epilate. I tried it on my arms, legs and my underarms and I’m pretty satisfied with the results All in all, I’m looking forward to my epilating journey with this product and hopefully will be saving thousands of rupees by not reaching out to a salon for my hair removal needs henceforth !
