Replacement GE WB21X5301 Range Oven Temperature Sensor Probe Assembly 12 Month Warranty & USA Support

The socket fit perfectly to my GE Profile gas range. But as noted in other posts, the holes didn't line up with the existing. I wasn't going to install it with only one screw, so I had to file one of the holes out to extend it wider. It was worth it, because its a quality product and the socket works. This is common to have to do minor alterations on replacement parts and it was much cheaper than factory part.

I bought this replacement temperature sensor probe for my GE range after the oven started heating unevenly and throwing off the temperature. This part was a perfect match for the original — same connector, same size, and it installed without any hassle. Swapping it out took maybe fifteen minutes total. Once it was in, my oven immediately started heating accurately again. No more undercooked middles or burnt edges — just consistent, even baking like it should be. Fast delivery good price, mounting holes were not in correct place had to elongate the holes by at least 3/16" in order to put mounting screws in. Job should have taken under 10mins instead took about 45mins after installing and discovering the hole misplacement and having to elongate holes. Do not know yet if it corrected F2 problem. Turned out I had a fault Fluke Ohm meter that only read low ohm values. Using another meter showed the original sensor and new sensor read the same correct value 1080 ohms. Installed new sensor anyway now its wait and see.

My oven is a Hotpoint RGB745BEA2WH and most websites list this model as a replacement for the original part for some reason. Like several other reviews here, the sensor itself works fine, but the screw holes didn't line up right. The connector was a perfect fit - no need for splicing. Not bad for the price if you're ok with only using one screw hole.

Wish I had read the reviews before buying. Hole don't align, and the plug is wrong. Even if you solder on a working plug and hook it up, the sensor itself is trash, even though the reference resistance looks OK. AVOID!!!! Anyway, spend the extra couple bucks on the one with the plug adapters. I bet the holes align right also.

This is a perfect replacement for the WB21X5318. As others have noted, the mounting holes needed to be opened out a bit to fit the oven holes, and I also had to cut off the connector and use crimps because the supplied connector was a different style. Worked perfectly first time!

Not physically compatible: the screw holes don't lineup. You will need to drill the support bracket if you want to mount it (and it is not easy to drill I can tell you. Furthermore, the oven temperature will loose lots of accuracy. My advise: do not buy this so called replacement, try to find the exact part.
