COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Makeup Primer, 1 Fl Oz, Pack of 1

At first I was like, "What? Now you say I need a "primer"? This has to be a sales gimmick. However, turns out I really love it. I see a huge difference. If you don't, maybe you don't have large pores, so you just don't need this kind of help. But the difference for me is very noticeable. I won't wear foundation without it again. I'm super happy with it! I don't look nearly as "textured". It seems like most foundations these days are thick and make 40 year old skin look very wrinkly and enhance pores (even the "poreless" kinds). Over the Cover Girl foundation, I look unbelievably smooth, even if I put powder on over it. Like someone else said, I look photoshopped, and I didn't think that was possible for me. It cuts down on crinkling with all the other brands of foundation I've tried too, (all the drugstore brands), and none of it clumps or does anything scary as the day goes on. Surprisingly, it all even gets less crinkly as the day goes on. I still get oily, but I just blot and it looks fine. None of this stuff makes me break out either. The routine that works for my skin (oily, breakout prone), in case it is useful for someone: Wash, put on 10% benzoyl peroxide to prevent breakouts, let dry. Put on this primer, wait a minute for it to dry. Put on foundation, then powder. At night, wash off with soap, then use a salicylic acid containing astringent and cotton ball to remove remaining make-up. Put on a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream to sleep in. (My routine is pretty drying, but my skin got used to harsh stuff and I live in a pretty humid climate, so it doesn't dry out.) Hope all that detail is helpful for someone with the same skin type.

I read the reviews and was still quite skeptical when ordering. I've used pore and line blurring primers before that seemed to wear off soon after application. Just 2-3 little pumps over my entire makeup free clean face and immediately saw results. Thin lines and some wrinkles were blurred and my face was pleasantly toned as well. Because of this being used as a primer I used even less tinted moisturizer. I do use a concealer under and around the T Zone and under and around my eyes. I use catrice concealer and another 1-2 pumps of the primer and the concealer doesn't suit in and accentuate the fine lines under and around my eyes. I top the whole look of with age defying translucent face powder and elf setting spray and unless it's been an incredibly hot or stressful day there's no need to touch up throughout the day. At nearly 50 with this combo I get shocked looks when revealing my age. It's worth the money and will make you makeup last longer and look better which in turn will make you feel and look better too. Safe to use on my delicate yet olive skin. My face looks and feels moisturizer all day which is something that every woman over 40 needs more of. I don't think I'll ever go back or try out another primer again as this one, again, looks and feels great on my skin.

I wish I had seen a photo of this “white liquid” foundation. I admit I probably would not have bought it. Reason is my previous makeup foundation was a “silky clear” foundation. This product goes on smooth but dries out quicker before I put on my makeup. I remedied that by adding another layer of foundation. It is a great price and it does the job. For these two reasons, I will finish this product before I return to my original product.

I’ve been using another primer but I do like this product better . It goes on smoothly and feel light . Good value!

Cannot make up my mind on this. It is nice on the skin but it does not seemed to hold my makeup like it should or like I expected. Does not really hide pores. It is my first try at a primer though so maybe I am expecting too much.

Would consider another purchase

I'm 70 and blessed with good skin but of course I have some small lines and wrinkles mainly around my eyes. Other makes ups I tried always settle into those lines. THIS make up never does. This color is a perfect match for my fair skin. I discovered this make up at a drug store several years ago. Thank goodness for Amazon because when I run out sometimes my drug store is out of it! I now order it as a subscription every 3 months. It lasts me at least that long because I find I don't need to use a lot. I just use my moisturizer first, let it almost dry, "dot" little spots of it all over and then blend gently with a special make up brush designed for applying foundation. I use to just use my fingertips but recently I discovered a brush make it easier and it has a great finish when I'm done. I go back afterwards and place another dot over top of 2 brown sun spots I have on my right cheek and gently pat to completely cover them up. I even lightly cover my upper eyelids with it because that skin tends to look too pink. I then apply my eye shadow over it once it dries. This makeup is fantastic for older skin. I am the living proof of that statement.

Simply Ageless primer made a big difference to my daily routine and will help me save money and time, I am certain. This primer really smooths out wrinkles and helps to blur out any discoloration spots. I discovered that less is more with this product. A pea size dollop for my sensitive skin is perfect. I apply primer after my serum and day lotion. The SA primer goes on smooth and creamy, it blends so well. I then apply my Lancome foundation. I have discovered that I need alot LESS foundation while still getting a full coverage look now that I use the Simply Ageless primer. A win-win!! My face looks smoother and I am saving money, using less of my expensive products. A great buy and excellent product for people in 'that age range", or wanting a full coverage primer that fills and blurs colors for a reasonable price.

I thought this was a lovely product for a reasonable price. It isn’t THE most pore smoking, but it is hydrating and makes your skin feel smooth and soft. It’s a great canvas for your daily makeup routine. Is it the best primer I’ve ever used, no. But it’s definitely not the worst either. It’s still in my collection surfacing a few times a week.

I love this primer. I have sensitive skin (I'm over 40) and this doesn't irritate it. My makeup stays on so much better for longer if I apply this first.

I normally pay around $20 where I live so this was a great bargain, it was delivered within 24 hrs. I struggled to find #1 a primer that did not cause me to get a blistery reaction on my sensitive skin #2 a primer that actually kept my skin looking moist and soft #3 a primer that did not make my foundation look uneven. This offered up all 3, my skin has recieved so many compliments since I've started using the simply ageless foundation along side the simply ageless primer and I won't be ever going back! My pores look smaller lately, my skin looks plump and moisture and my foundation covers well melts into my skin like soft butter yet it doesn't look like I'm wearing a heavy mask of foundation. Highly recommend if you have older, lifeless, dry unplump skin like mine 10/10
