I had my son setup this bed rail for my husband when he got diagnosed with cancer, and it worked perfectly for him to get in and out of bed by himself. He could use it to pull himself and sit up in bed, and then use it as a grab bar to stand up and steady himself while getting out of bed. I liked it because I could pivot it down and out of the was to make the bed easier. Not to mention the pouch to keep the remote and other things he needed to have close. What a great product! Would recommend it to anyone who struggles with mobility!

So happy with this product. A friend assembled/ put up for us. This gives me peace of mind that my husband won't roll out of bed. Well worth the money.

very good bedrail. It feels substantial enough to feel safe, has handy pockets, can adjust length, and when necessary, with a simple tug on a knob, it will fold down. The only issue is getting it secured properly to the bed. Once you do, there really isn't a reason to take it off again. The straps go under the mattress and hook on to the opposite part of your bedframe. I recommend only putting weight to pull towards the bed, and not away. Also, don't count on the bedrail to keep your stuff from falling on the floor under it. I did read online that people use pool noodles for things like that, though. Oh--I got this bedrail for myself about 6 years ago because I am old and silly and kept falling out of bed.

We installed two of these (one on each side) of my mother-in-law's Craftmatic adjustable bed after she fell out of bed the second time. We're glad we did (even though Mom told someone "my kids put restraints on my bed" <sigh>) and the result is cost-efficient, but be aware of the following: • The part of the rail that extends underneath the bed (which makes the rail very solid, because the occupant's weight adds to the anchoring effect) makes it impossible to put rails directly opposite each other on a single-size bed. In our case, we staggered the rails so that they still provide full protection. • While the rails work fine with an adjustable bed, the bed may not work fine with the rails. We anchored the rails on the bed frame base, not the part that elevates, which effectively means the bed no longer elevates. In our case, Mom doesn't use the elevation feature, so it's not a fatal flaw (we removed the control unit for the bed anyway), and it might be possible to anchor the rails such that the bed could still elevate. But we haven't tried, so maybe not. • The rails have nice covers with pockets [not pictured in the photos on Amazon] that can be used to stash TV remotes, etc. But Mom felt "trapped" with the covers on because she couldn't see through them, so the covers came off (quite easily, btw). • Some people with limited manual dexterity might have trouble manipulating the locks that drop the rails (although they are well designed to stay open with a simple twist, so only one of the two locks needs to be handled at one time). Mom can't drop the rails while she's in bed, but (once she'd practiced a few times) can handle them from the outside when she wants to make up the bed. • We were worried that the part of the rail that extends underneath the bed would be felt by Mom when she lay in bed. Nope! (Your mileage may vary depending on your princess, her mattress, and her pea tolerance, of course. <g>) Overall, we like the bed rails, they do what we bought them for, and we recommend them for most situations, with the above caveats.

Very easy to assemble; took less than 15 minutes, one person. Installation a bit more difficult for heavy, king mattresses. Best with two people but one strong person can do it alone. The most difficult part is to raise the box spring and mattress to secure the straps. Otherwise, pretty easy. Highly recommend.

This is not the least expensive bed rail on Amazon. That’s probably because it’s built so well. We chose this one because it’s tall enough and we have a 14 inch mattress. The bars that slide between the mattress and boxspring are round, but he can’t feel them when he’s laying on the bed. We haven’t been able to really tie it to the bed because I can’t unclip the straps. The clip is really not functional. That is probably the only criticism I can leave. We needed something strong enough so that a 230 pound man wouldn’t fall out of bed. He has REM sleep disturbance and can literally throw himself out of bed. The physics of this bed rail are genius in keeping him on the mattress because his weight holds the rail in place. He says he even leans against it during the night. He doesn’t worry anymore about hurting himself during the night, and either do I. It’s such a comfort to know he’ll sleep safely, we’re both more rested in the morning. No more crashing that wakes us both up in the middle of the night, no more bruises and broken side tables. He also uses it to steady himself when getting up. So even if it isn’t the least expensive bed rail, the construction is sturdy; it’s very worth the money.

This is a fabulous product. My husband when he dreams jumps out of bed and falls out of bed a lot. This is just what he needed and I love it because it swings down and no one would even know it was there during the day. Strong, perfect product.

My mother said I have her a baby bed. Now I don’t have to worry that she has fallen out. She is able to use the frame to adjust where she comfortable at in the bed. Also I like the fact that there is a pouch for her cell phone and remote. 5 stars all the way.

This bed rail is great, east to put together, and is very secure when the strap is tightened. Its heavy duty, because of the support it gives when holding on to the top of the frame to aid in getting in and out of bed, I bought this for my husband as he has fallen out of bed, and this has helped him tremendously, as there is no more worries of him falling again, plus this bed frame stays where its placed, I totally recommend this
