Worked well for me
I had a clog in the kitchen sink drain, and my manual 3/8 inch snake wouldn't budge past 19 feet, where it hit a major clog. This little power snake chewed right through that clog and cleared the drain to 25 feet. Unfortunately, the whole drain line was 45 feet, and the clog moved down to about 35 feet. I had to rent a 1/2 inch 50 foot sewer machine to clear the whole pipe. This little power snake is much easier to use and carry around than the sewer machine, which about broke my back carrying it up and down the stairs. So for any clog at less than 25 feet, the little power snake is the way to go.One important tip: It's best to operate the power snake with two people. One holds the drill and works the speed, while the other feeds the working end down the drain. If you try to work it with just one person, you can't control the kinking.

Worked fantastic for me - follow directions carefully
This worked great for me. I followed the directions to the letter. Remove the U trap and elbow pipe under the sink. Use two people, one person to run the drill, and one to gently feed the snake down the pipe. Keep the snake as straight as possible and use short, gentle, bursts of power. I am 65 and my daughter and I cleared the drain in 5 minutes. It brought up a ball of hair from 6-8 feet down the pipe. It saved me a lot of money. I have a feeling the negative reviews are because people are not following the directions carefully. FYI: this is a 15 foot snake, not a 25 ft snake.

Useless on any drain with bends
Had clog in bathroom sink causing gurgling, bought this but after taking trap and extension from drain piping itself, could not move it more than a couple inches, as it had to bend to get behind the vanity wall to drain pipe itself. Even trying to manually feeding it would not budge, pvc outer shell is worthless, should of just got an old fashion snake with no pvc over or any of that fancy stuff.
