Essential Mac OS: Sierra Edition (Computer Essentials) Paperback – July 21, 2017

As a long-time Windows user who recently converted to Mac, this small book (178 pages) helps to get you going using the new Sierra platform. There are color pictures illustrating each point, and altho some of the photos feature extremely small informational "balloons", for the most part the book is very easy to read and understand. However, there is NO INDEX. Thus, if you want to find a specific feature or answer, you have to shuffle through the whole book. Yes, it is somewhat helpful but would I buy it again? No, I'd get one with an index.

I was hoping to find more info about using the camera, transferring pics from other Apple devices, but it doesn’t address the details.There is plenty of helpful information, the price was great, and quick delivery.

For some knowing nothing about MAC OS, this book is very informative in a way that is easy to understand. Glad I got it to help me set up an IMAC.

MAC OS is a software written with a different prespective. Software users need a book on the nuances of software: PC VS MAC!

Not bad, but if you are after a more in depth detail this is not the book. Very basic.

Complete waste of money! Might be of some use to a five-year-old.I suggest use of the Mac Help Menu instead ... particularly because much of the content of this book seems to have been taken directly from the current and earlier Mac OS Help and/or Information Screens.Included, for reasons beyond my understanding are references to Apple iWork applications, which have nothing to do with macOS Sierra, apart from padding this pointless tomb with irrelevant information.The author, Kevin Wilson, patronisingly states in the "About the Author" section that the "book" was written, "To help people in countries in like South Africa who have never used a computer before." All very altruistic!Pity that he has decided to charge these poor people for this regurgitated, freely available, information.
