Nice quality. Easy to install and runs very well. Only things I'd improve, but are on me for not specifying in choosing this one are: - Air flow is not reversable: would be nice for pulling smoke or bugs out if the screens are up in the gazebo. - Default startup speed: It seems to always start up in high speed and then requires a remote button push to bring it back down to low speed. Would be nice if it could either remember the last setting it was on, or have it be something that could be set as default with the remote. Otherwise, it's been a nice, solid fan that will make the summer heat a lot more bearable and help keep the mesquitos at bay a bit.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: So I grabbed a fan for my deck from Lowe’s not realizing it didn’t even have a remote. How do you even reach it to turn off/on?! So, researched and found this one with other great reviews. Returned the other one. Very easy to hang up, turn it on and it’s good to go. Comes with a variable speed remote with a mounting bracket. It’s fairy quiet. I may get another one for the other side of my deck. Great air output! My dog loves it too!

I purchased this fan 2 yrs ago for my gazebo. I hung it myself and for an 80 yr old woman, it is heavy especially when climbing a ladder. I gave it a heave ho and hooked it in the top of the gazebo. Since it is high up, it cools every person extremely well. When it says "tornado", it blows a lot of air. Fabulous fan and still works after 2 yrs. In Texas wind, downpours, and heat. So nice to sit and read with my Tornado fan keeping me cool!

Use it on my porch to move the air around. It blows straight down. The air pushes to the sides on the ground, and I can feel the air moving up the walls, to be sucked back into the fan. Mosquitos are cut down a lot which was about half the reason for purchase. If you stand right under it, it is pretty strong. Not like a ceiling fan that is broadly disbursed. Remote works well from plenty far, 2 AAA's not included. I like that it has zero watts plugged in on standby, ready to be turned on with the remote. It also is not huge, so easy to hang on a simple hook.

Fan works. Some fans on Amazon have a wimpy 20-30 watt motor, this has 80. Some low watt ones move 1450 CFM a minute on high. This moves 2000 on low, 2500, on medium, and 3300 on high. Low and medium are quiet, high moves enough air to keep bugs away. It is balanced and smooth. Each has a separate remote control that operates one fan, so they can be adjusted independently. All needed to mount is a hook or hook eye in a solid surface. Purchased two for a covered 16’ X 8’ balcony, which will get more use each season due to the comfort level as the temperatures increase.

Tornado is right! Love this fan for outside. Low speed does the trick. Higher speeds are blowing everything around. Small and mighty!

The fan worked great - until it didn't. It was delivered on May 26 and I immediately started using it. On June 17, the bearings seized up and it ground to a halt. Amazon customer service was excellent in providing a refund and I'm shopping now for a different brand of fan.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this for my dog kennel with the hot weather here. It is great value and very durable. So easy to install and it works great. Keeping the doggies much cooler.
