I bought this ORICO 3588US3 USB 3.5inch SATA Ext HDD with the sole purpose of using it with a 10 TB EXT HDD which cost a lot and i havn't found one review where people have actually tried on this device with a 10 TB HDD, let alone work with a 16 TB HDD.(as mentioned in the description) I however found or read somewhere in a different website where people had tried with there 10 TB HDD but failed to work and it seemed to work well with 6 TB HDD. I havn't purchase a 10 TB Disk and will give i real review then, but for now its a guessing game. No one has posted a picture even. But i am happy i made the purchase the adapter and a USB 3 cable seems to make sense and the ergonomic design seems likable. But i would encourage people to try with a 10-16 TB Disk, and give there reviews. Edit: Its not a good news. I have purchased 4 of this DOC'S and 3 of them are already showing wears. Especially when i insert the adapter plug to the device it doesn't switch it at once. U need to remove the plug and try different position and then only would it work. Well practically we don't need to do that. But in my case it is doing. Maybe its because of usage. So people i think its because of extended usage. It should be really durable at this price. So take it at ur own risk.

Works great. Got speed over 100 MB/s on my Segate 1tb 3.5. Now need to restart every time i want to plugin my HDDs

The product is working fine till now. I brought this especially for 3.0USB feature. Speed is quite good comes up to 60-75 Mb/s Totally worth the money.

The Product works okay....... HDD was detected without any Hickup. Runs Decent enough. I was fool enough, not to consider that a fully enclosed case can spike up the HDD temp. to a certain degree of 55-65 degree, which can & will not be healthy for the Drive. Mine was a 1TB 7200RPM 128MB Cache HDD. after just 5 Minutes, I couldn't even touch the surface of the Case, so I had to remove the Upper case cover, even after that I continued to run at 47-52 degree......My stupidity costs me gain....

Does exactly as it says on the box!. Fitted a 4tb drive, and works straight away. Its left on 24/7 and the drive powers off after a while to save power and hdd life. Perfect for external hdd backup drives. Probably not so good for things such as nas and xbox/ps as it does auto power off and there is no way to change that feature. Even under heavy use, the drive and case does not seem to get too warm, with the hdd reporting only 42c (wd blue drive). This can be run from any 12v supply, and i have powered this directly from my pc power supply, and am not using the included mains power supply (i just cut the end off the included psu and use the barrel jack and a 3a in line fuse to one of the molex outputs on my pc psu).

O case é excelente. O grande diferencial dos demais é a chave liga/desliga, de pressionar, bem melhor que as demais chaves dos concorrentes. Estou satisfeitíssimo, valeu o pagamento pelo maior preço.

HDDのインストールは簡単でした。転送速度は早く感じます。 放熱はHDD上部のパネルが金属板になっていて熱を逃がします。 ただし、ほかの部分はプラスチックで密閉構造のため発熱量の多いHDDの使用は注意が必要かと思います。 商品説明に転倒防止設計とうたっていますが、小さいラバーシートで押さえているだけなのでどの位効果があるのかは不明です。 製品は安定していて、3週間以上常用のPCにつなげて使用していますが問題はありません。

I ordered this product because I had a lot of old HDDs lying around that I wanted to access, but was too lazy to open up my computer and install them all. Imagine installing 4 HDDs into a computer, I'm gonna have to open it up multiple times, and some of them might not even work, and then there's troubleshooting -- it's just too much work. Well with this thing, you can simply turn the power off, slide the top off, install a new HDD, turn the power back on and bam, you're done in seconds. I should have bought something like this a long time ago, but hey it's here now and I love it. The enclosure itself is not the most premium feeling, it's relatively cheap plastic. But it gets the job done and it's perfectly fine for me. The power adapter fits alongside other plugs without any issue (it protrudes downwards). It comes with foam that you can install to stop the HDD from rattling around in the enclosure if you plan to travel with it, but I didn't bother installing it since I was switching out HDDs often. Whether it's a one-time use item to access old HDDs, or something you plan to carry around as an external HDD, it just works.
