Stylish and Comfortable
I really love this helmet. It has that fighter pilot look to it. I just had to go with Macross decals. It may look a bit tall without without goggles on. Pairs really well with the Flightdeck. Lots of airflow. I usually wear a cashmere beanie underneath without a problem. The quick magnetic latch is perfect! Easy to adjust if needed. Gotta have MIPS for extra safety. I took a lot of silly spills over a season but never felt any issue with my head.

Excellent helmet
I previously had a Giro helmet and I didn't have any complaints about it. I had to get a new helmet because I lost so much weight that my Giro was to big. I had tried on an Oakley mod 5 helmet a year ago and it was comfortable and light. I'll an Oakley fan to begin with so I decided to shell out the extra money for it. I absolutely love it. The Giro was it was hurting my ears but the Oakley doesn't. I only wish the mod 5 with mips came in some more fun girlie colors.

Best helmet for Oakley Flight decks
First I have to say that I got the best customer service ever from craniologie. The owner of the store called and verified that I got the helmet and made sure that it is up to my satisfaction. He then asked if I am Looking to purchase any more gear and he gave me an excellent price for new Oakley flight decks!!The helmet fits great and it has MIPS technology that provides best protection to your brain. You can also change brims to fit goggle size. All in all I am extremely happy with my purchase and I will always purchase my gear from now on at craniologie.

Very light!
I haven't skied in this helmet yet, but it's incredibly light and comfortable out of the box. I have Oakley Canopy goggles and they match up well with the larger brim. Seems like a quality Oakley product with good protection built in. I have since skied in this helmet. It is incredibly light and comfortable. I think it was a great purchase.

Great for many sports
I'm pretty happy with this helmet. I'm a Hang Glider Pilot and I use this for flying. I bought it because it was made to work with Oakley Googles (I have Oakley Airframes). Yes, Oakley stuff is WAAAAYYYY overpriced (thanks Luxotica) but I have been wearing Oakley optics for 2 decades and they just work... always. The googles match up to the helmet so there is practically no seam at all, and then air flows nicely through the goggles from the bottom vent to the top of the frame and then right into the helmet. I really love the magnetic clasp on the chin strap. You think its annoying thing to buckle your chinstrap with gloves on? Try forgetting to buckle your chin strap before you take off flying a glider, lol! I can do it with one hand, no look, gloves or not.

Protect your noggin.
Most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. Super high quality is obvious as soon as you take it out of the box. Well worth the splurge for safety and comfort. Never risk your brain for a few dollars less, you only get one. Mod3 is definitely a comparable cost effective alternative, splurge on MIPS.

MIPS jiggle causes brim to knock on goggles
With a 59.5cm head, a size large fits well (probably mid point in the BOA adjustment) where my ears sit properly in the cup area and not on the surrounding outer pads. I previously tried on a Medium non-Mips Mod 5, but it was way too small. The Large MIPS is definitely the right size for me bare headed and will work well if I add a skull cap or balaclava as needed. My goggles are the Oakley Flight Deck - XL/Large which match up with the larger helmet brim for the closest fit around the top and sides of the goggles. The end result appears good without any visible gaps from the outside, but the brim is only a facade that leaves a fairly large open area behind it, and so there is a non-covered gap on my forehead above the goggles - you can't see this gap but it is there behind the brim. Oakley made the brim this way to help vent the googles and reduce fogging issues that may occur if a helmet sits right on top of the goggle's upper vents. There is a problem where the MIPS halo lets the helmet jiggle somewhat, and that results in the brim knocking on the top of my Oakley goggles. The knocking is quite loud and quite annoying. The only solution would be to push the helmet up and back further but that leaves even more gap above the goggles and the helmet would not stay back off my goggles for long. Unacceptable.I like the looks of this helmet and so does my wife, but the brim thing with the MIPS jiggle is something of a headache. I previously tried the smaller XM/Medium Flight Deck goggles but those didn't fit my face as well as the XL/Large, so downsizing goggles is not an option. As far as venting goes, there are permanently open air flows designed into the helmet. These will allow cold air to move through in all conditions, whether or not you want cold air coming in. The slider vents... there are only 2 small ones, don't seem to do a lot.Overall, for me this helmet is a miss. Too many design niggles to rank it up there with other top helmets.
