## Overview

The Guitar A-Frame Support is a highly recommended ergonomic accessory that adjusts to three different positions, providing optimal support while relieving back pain and tension. Its foldable design allows for easy storage in your guitar case, making it a must-have for musicians on the go.

## Description

This A-frame is designed to adjust the angle of the guitar neck to aid in perfect positioning for playing. Highly recommended by Aaron Shearer. The A-Frame adjustable guitar support is simple to use, yet offers a greater variety of positioning than has ever been available for the guitarist. The ability to make adjustments to 3 separate aspects of positioning, and then lock them into your optimum playing position is a unique feature of the A-Frame. Basically there are three adjustments: Left or right adjustments, angle adjustment, and height adjustment. ***Note: The finish on a small number of guitars may react with the suction cups on the a-Frame, and leave a mark on the finish that will not wipe off. The vast majority of finishes have no adverse reaction to the suction cups. During the first few weeks of use, you inspect the finish regularly and contact Sageworks if you notice a problem. A refund would be available through the supplier for anyone who has this problem. A year warranty is provided.

    Good Concept, Needs work

*by R***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 31, 2012*

I wanted to try this stand out as i am performing classical guitarist and can spend several hours day with my foot on a stool. Needless to say, my back is not in good shape. I found this online and decided to give it a try.The good news is, the concept works. When the unit is in place (which keeping there is a real problem, more on that in a minute), it works really well. You can adjust the height of the guitar and the angle of the neck can be as well. I was able to get the guitar in a very comfortable position very quickly. As long as the suctions cups stuck, it was fairly solid in my lap and I felt I could play as well as i could with a foot stool. The guitar felt secure and balanced and I didn;t feel like there was any addtional tension in my hands/arms to hold the guitar. The bad news is that it uses suction cups to mount to the guitar. My guitars are very expensive (like most professional guitarists) and they come with a nice hand applied french polish. Unfortuntaely, what you are not told is that french polish (or most hand applied polishes) do not allow the suction cups to stick very well. It is stated in the fine print in the manual - you just don;t know this until you buy it. So, true to thier word, the suction cups just do not stick. They do for a bout 10 minutes and then you feel the guitar slide around until one of the cups just slip off completely. Compounding this is the fact the suction cups are very large, so there is very little room between the suction cups (side by side) and the edges of the guitar. the problem is made worse if one of the cups over laps another, or a cup is hanging over the edge of the guitar - in either case it lets air under the cup, which makes it usless in terms of holding the unit in place. The manual said to call the manufacture if you have a french polish or other finish that the cups don't adhere to and they would give you a method of getting around the issue. I called and got a voice mail and they called me back and left a messgae for me about a week later. Their solution was to have me go out and buy some flexible pick guard and cut it to shape and glue it to the bottom of the guitar where the suction cups mount. I bought this unit specifically because I do not want to mount, glue, or screw anything in to the guitar. So, it's a good concept and if you bought a guitar from a big box store (i.e. cheaper with machine applied inexpensive poly finish), it probably works OK. However, if you a serious player (who needs it the most), and you have a more expensive / professional instrument, be prepared to modify you guitar to make this work. I am not prepared to slather adhesive and mount plastic on the underside of a $8,000 guitar.

The guitar stays put with the A-Frame.

*by H***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 14, 2012*

Compared to the simplicity of the Gitano and Dynarette supports, the A-Frame takes a couple minutes to figure out. Once I read the instructions and got a sense of how to apply the A-Frame to the guitar, set up and adjustment were very easy. I purchased the A-frame because the product description indicated that it would permit me to tilt the guitar more towards my body as I played. It does that. The A-Frame seems more comfortable and to offer more control over the guitar's position than I experienced with other guitar supports or an adjustable footstool. The strap has a non-slip surface so the guitar stays put the entire time I play - no slippage. This is a major advantage over the other guitar supports. The A-Frame is lightweight, seems sturdy, folds flat and should fit in my guitar case

    Long time user.

I've used one of these for years and been devoted to it. It was still in fine condition when I lost mine, and I was delighted to finally find the replacement here. The one improvement is it has even better suction cups than the ones that lasted me more than a decade. This is a great product, and can fit all sizes and adjust to hold the guitar at different angles. This saves your back from the twisting of putting ones foot on a footstool. All classical guitarists should use it.Jimscottguitar.com
