The film will reveal the relationship of a father who lived and died by the mob code and a son who, while brought up to lead a life of crime, chose to leave that world behind and redeem himself and the Gotti name. Never before has there been such an inside look at the Gotti family and their world of danger, betrayal and redemption. John Gotti was head of the Gambino crime family, which in its time was the largest and most powerful crime organization in the country. Known as the 'Dapper Don,' John Gotti's flamboyant style and outspoken personality made him one of the most famous mobsters of the 20th century and he ruled the underworld until he died from cancer in 2002 while serving a life sentence. In 1988, at the age of 24, Gotti Jr. became a 'made man,' and was officially inducted into the Mafia, making him the heir-apparent to head the Gambino crime family and follow in his father's footsteps. revised rating with dvd product
probably will order on dvd late as really wanted to see. but the blue ray would not play in either of my players cleaned it up several times and then wouldn't even load . a waste of $15 threw it away to much troubles to return had given one star because blue ray was defective and would not play reordered on dvd played exceelent. was good intense historical drama. John Travolta was comptent as usual in heavy role he can play such a mix from evil to archangel . He played Gotti Sr. at various ages and was convincing as head mobster who owes no apology or denial of what he is. I was disappointed it wasnt a bigger finincal hit.

Well after watching this movie it was below a typical John T movie. I grew up in that time dealing with these people. Trust me they were as bad as it gets. The majority of the actors did fine including Mr. Keach who was more real then Mr. T. I feel, no I know he did not do his homework on the character of Mr. Gotti. I only rate his performance at two star. Look up the word gangster then hang with them. Wise guys would have told him. This movie could have been a 5 star.

You don't cross John Gotti, and if you do, you won't live long.
John Travolta is a very gifted actor. His portrayal of crime boss John Gotti was amazing. His wife Kelly Preston's portrayal of Victoria Gotti, is one of a kind. This movie shows how the mafia runs things. I enjoyed it very much and will watch it fir years to come.

I love this movie
I love this movie, wait first of all I love John Travolta let’s Get that straight, on top of thatI have another John Gotti movie that is not as detailed as this one it’s awesome I pre-ordered my copy after searching for this movie in theaters and to purchase it online so I was definitely excited to have pre-ordered this movie and once I received An email stating my copy will be shipping out and delivered in two days my husband and I were super excited and then to receive the movie watch it and enjoy it that’s the best part

I may be the only one who actually loved this movie. Not only is john travolta my fav actor but i think he did a great job.
