This is a great kit that was intended for a pre teen however most of the family picked up and loved making the jewelry! It is a great value, there is a lot included and lots of jewelry can be produced with just this one kit. The variety and size of sizing of the beads is fantastic. The bracelets are quite durable and the product is high quality. The thrwader is really cool and works great, makes production quick and easy! You'll enjoy this kit and will have fun making many colorful things!

The Make It Real Heishi Bead Kit includes over 3,000 beads, yet the carrying case is surprisingly compact. The instruction manual fits neatly inside the clear pink case, so there’s no need to keep the outer box. The case itself is sturdy and well made, and it can easily be reused to store small items once the beads are gone. My only minor complaint is that the clasps are a bit tricky to open and close. The instruction manual could be improved, but this isn’t a complicated project. It just requires patience and good hand coordination, so I recommend it for kids over age 8. Stringing the tiny beads and tying off the final knot takes a little practice. The book suggests several patterns, but kids can also create their own designs, and the finished bracelets are bright, colorful, and fun to wear.

The box is way oversized to make it look like you're getting a lot more, so when I remove the case of beads from the box, it didn't look like much. That being said, there actually is a good amount of beads included. Plus there's a good assortment of colors. And unlike other sets, the beads are cut uniformly to a consistent thickness. I haven't seen any bad pieces so far. The metal beads are a nice addition too. The set only comes with a few charms. Although this does seem like one of the higher quality sets, I still didn't want to take the chance of having a charm fall off randomly, so I removed jump rings and just thread the string through the eyelet. Overall, happy with this set.
