Great lock and alarm!
This is a really good bike lock. It took a little getting used to. The mounting of the lock case was easy and very secure. The straps that mount a case are long and should be able to mount it pretty much anywhere on your bike, for some people you have to be smarter than the lock case itself. I have it on my hunting and fishing ramble rebel E bike and I ride through some pretty rough areas. The lock holder has not come loose at all. Thieves given enough time can cut through any bike lock. This alarm makes a lot of noise I think it would be a great deterrent. I would highly recommend this lock. Some people say it's too heavy, yes it's heavy, it says it right in the description of the lock. I notice a lot of people really don't read the entire description of the items that they purchase and start leaving negative reviews.

Very loud but effective lock
I feel like the alarm is a bit too loud but obviously, it's that way for a reason. The only annoying thing is sometimes if the key isn't inserted properly then it becomes hard to readjust and get the lock opened. So if the alarm is on then this could create some issues. So personally for me I don't use the alarm often. I've only used it once or twice. Apart from that, the lock is a good size and I don't really have any issue with regard to being able to lock it up to different objects. The instructions for attaching the lock and it's holder to the frame were a bit confusing as well

Worked 3 days, then alarm broke (**replaced - updated from 1 to 4 stars**)
UPDATED REVIEW (03/2022)Since the item was within the return window for Amazon I seamlessly was able to exchange it for a new one. The issue was that the red panel inside the alarm block (pictured) got stuck somehow, forcing the internal electrical components to keep the alarm on as long as the battery was inside. The new one doesn't stick and the alarm works great. The alarm block is only removable when the key has already unlocked the lock. A thief can't just remove the battery without attacking the top of the lock or picking it first. This is the best price out there for a lock of this type with an alarm. Yeah, a skilled thief can probably cut through it or pick it in several minutes, but most thieves would be deterred by the alarm that triggers way before that. Cheap cable locks with an alarm are useless as even a casual thief can cut through a cable in less than a minute - so who cares about the sound then. The fact that this pairs an alarm with parts that (in theory) would take at least several minutes to break or pick increases its chances of success. With how exploitable most locks (even top of the line) are nowadays, it seems like no lock is really 100% safe anymore. Lockpicking Lawyer's youtube channel is good if you want to see examples of what I mean. He uses a thick Kryptonite chain lock, which I considered, but the chain is too fat to fit through what I'm locking. This lock, once it was replaced, fulfilled a good balance of price/features, with enough layers of security for what I need. If you get a "lemon" like I initially got, it should be noticeable like mine was within the return window. Just sucks that it happened to me during a trip!ORIGINAL REVIEW (02/2022):Used the dang thing on a trip 3 times and it worked fine. 4th time the alarm wouldn't activate til I UNLOCKED it, after which the stupid thing's alarm wouldn't stop no matter what I tried. The only thing that stops the alarm now is removing the battery. The 100 db chaos resumes when you put the battery back in, and no amount of repeat locking and unlocking, with or without the steel link inserted, will make it stop. So here I am in the middle of a vacation with a totally worthless alarm lock. Still more days to go and no longer have an alarm, just a $120 regular lock! (Bought this for its combo of hard to cut links and alarm) Unless the company gives me a unit that won't do crap like this I'm calling this 100% junk! Get a super thick Kryptonite chain instead. It's what youtuber "Lockpicking Lawyer" uses, and I should've followed his example. This thing's faulty alarm will fail you, guaranteed.

Excellent fit on my fat tire e bike
Seems bulletproof with a great alarm. UNLOCKS PERFECTLY. You need to pull harder to get it to disconnect so it's even more secure. Keys work perfect.Recommended for large, expensive bikes.

Excellent Bike for an E Bike. Secure and Easy to Use.
I really like the mount that the lock comes with. Makes it easy to store on my Ebike. I got it for my Tern HSD and it fits perfectly on the frame. It's pretty light given how big it is and the alarm feature is one of the main reasons I purchased this lock. It is very loud and sensitive enough to detect small bumps or movements. The intelligent alarm is crucial since it prevents accidentally triggering the alarm by providing a warning, which I've almost done several times. You have to make sure the lock isn't going to move once you walk away. It's also very long and I've able to secure it to things a U lock would not be able to. I don't think this lock is more secure than a strong U lock like the Granit X plus 540 but the alarm feature is very nice. I think I'm going to combine this lock with the granite X plus for more protection if I'm going to leave my E Bike out of sight for more than a few minutes.

Only 2 keys ???
As i search for a quality lock, i really like the folding lock concept, and i heard Abus is very very good quality. So I purchased it and works great,, but my only concern was this lock only comes with 2 keys, and for well over $100 cost, not good. But i said to myself, I'll get keys made,, I go to a couple locksmiths, and they said they can't make/ copy this key... and going online to find out how to have extra keys made was very difficult. I called A local REI, and they did say Abus has a office in New York... couldn't find a phone number... long story short,, i sent the lock back.

Not good enough
Nothing stops the bike thieves. It took 2 weeks and my €3k e-bike was stolen, in bright daylight, on a crowded city street in Stockholm. It probably did not take more than 30 seconds for the thieves to cut the lock, and none cared, nor about the 90dB siren the lock is equipped with.

Not perfect but well made and does the job
Use this in conjunction with other locks (chain to a floor anchor). Well made and no issues with it so far. No idea how effective it is as it hasn’t been forced. Alarm is a good addition as a further deterrent although not the loudest is loud enough to draw attention and not be too embarrassing or annoying if it goes off accidentally

Works okay, very strong
Very loud and very easy to trigger. Decided to pull out the battery and use it without the alarm when locking up in a busier area. The alarm will surely come in handy in more empty spaces but its too easy to trigger when using on a bike rack used by other people.
