I had a stud finder that bleeps at everything no matter what you do. This one actually works. Insert two batteries, hold horizontally on the wall and move across. As you find a stud the lights come on. As you move across the stud the lights in the centre come on. That is when you know you have found the centre of the stud. These DO NOT detect electrical cables. They are simple to use and are NOT a bleeping nuisance!

I love the very graphic way this tool shows the stud locations. Easy to use. Pleased I bought this.

Made it so easy to find studs to mount my tv, a little expensive considering i had to apply to amazon.com and pay for the import charges etc, you would think they would store some in Amazon uk and other countries, but still worth the money for the ease of use in finding stud walls more accurately. Highly Reccommend Though, deffo a must have tool for your tool box.

Bought in the hope of finding studs behind plaster and lath. Didn't manage it though. Great on studded plasterboard.

I've always despised using regular stud finders because using them means endless frustration since they don't always find the studs easily. But THIS ONE is AMAZING. It is SO EASY. It is what ALL stud finders SHOULD be. Seriously... I know it seems insane to splurge this much on a stud finder, but this one is so good it'll make you WANT to look for excuses to use it. It might even make you want to build a shelf of honor to store it on, displayed in all it's black and yellow glory. You even feel the urge to put a "Franklin Sensor" bumper sticker on your vehicle, because you love this sensor THAT MUCH. Ok... maybe that last bit was a bit much... Anyway, here is what I like about it: I love that I don't need to calibrate it... I just stick it on the wall and it instantly tells me if there's a stud. I don't need to slide it along the wall first, like all those other stud finders. I love that it's accurate - I didn't get any false readings for the 44 screws that I needed to put into the wall. It's fast - it saved me a ton of time because I didn't' have to fiddle around with it... it just works the way it's supposed to. If I'd known it was this good, I've had bought it ages ago. Don't be me - treat yourself to this stud finder now... you won't regret it. Warning: Purchasing this stud finder might cause you to rave about it to everyone you see.. they will think you're crazy to love a stud finder this much... but then once they try it, they'll be raving, too. :)
