Not a loose thread in sight. I’ve hiked through creeks, I’ve submerged them in water AND mud. During a particularly treacherous hike, I had to walk through deep mud that covered the entire boot, laces and all. I used my water bladder from my hiking pack to rinse it, and it was back to looking fine. I didn’t take any special steps to clean or dry them, just kept hiking.They’re definitely waterproof, I’ve walked straight through the creek with no issues. I have a wider foot so I chose a wide and I’m glad I did. I feel like I could easily get another 50-100 miles out of these boots before they show any signs of needing replacement. They’re sturdy, the laces are nice and strong too. They’re not too heavy and they are able to fit wool socks into comfortably when I adjust the laces. I’ve even doubled up socks and made the fit. Still comfortable with my summer socks too. I did put in a Dr. schols insert in them just bc I tend to get plantar fasciitis but with the inserts in these boots I’ve actually never felt foot pain even on my longest adventures. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EXCELLENT HIKERS *by on Reviewed in the United States September 27, 2026* I needed to order a half size bigger. The first pair saw really tight. Normally I’m a perfect 7.5 and returned for an 8. That return and exchange was so easy. The second pair came in 2 days and I hadn’t returned the first ones yet.I wore these for a hike that was half mountain climbing. They were so comfortable and the ankle support was AMAZING. I had taken a fall stepping onto a pointed rock and had I not had that ankle support, I’m sure I would have sprained my ankle.The climb was 2.5 miles almost straight up with an increased elevation of 2360 ft, with 50 mile an hour winds.Not only are they really cute, but they deliver for an extremely difficult climb. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Trail Partner *by on Reviewed in the United States May 2, 2026* These boots are the perfect hiking companion. I broke them in on a 7.5 mile hike with 1900 ft elevation gain. The traction was perfect, downhill was slightly uncomfortable as my toes slid around (but this trail was a VERY steep descent, & a less steep grade probably wouldn't be felt much at all). After purchasing wool hiking socks, the shoes performed perfectly. I wore these in Yosemite on the mist trail and was able to test out the waterproof fabrics. My feet stayed completely dry through each puddle. The shoes are also very warm (due to the fabrics used in waterproofing). I've worn these in warm weather conditions as well, & my feet are hot, but the protection against rocks/roots outweighs the warm feet. The toes are also outfitted with extra protection (which is very helpful if you hike on the less maintained trails as your feet may easily slip between rocks and crush your toes). I've worn these on dirt, slick mud, granite cliffs, & rocky trails, & the shoes have not slipped & have cushioned every step.
