I have an older Samsung soundbar that has one of those remotes that uses cell batteries. We just bought a new TV and hooked everything up. When I went to use the remote to adjust the settings, nothing happened. Luckily, we have a universal remote that can adjust the sound but it can't access the settings. I tried replacing the battery and it didn't work. Thinking maybe that battery was no good, I tried another one. Still nothing. The remote was dead. I saw this one, which looks identical to the one we have, and ordered it. When I got it, I noticed it takes AAA and not cell batteries. So much more convenient! I put the batteries in, pointed it at the soundbar and viola! It worked! Settings adjusted! The price for this remote was really low and it works great so I am very happy.

I’m not one to care for reviews but this one lowkey blew me away, I bought my samsung sound bar from a friend in 2018 but the remote didn’t work even after replacing batteries, there was no evidence that it had fallen not a single scratch, it took me so long to finally decide to look for a replacement and I ran into this model, it was only $6 so i figured it was worth trying. Well as soon as I took it out the package i was happy to see it required AAA batteries unlike the weird not as accessible circle ones. As soon as I popped those bad boys in i pointed at the sound bar and it turned on without any problems! Then i clicked the other settings and i discovered there was more to my soundbar than i knew for example switching into movie mode sports mode and clear voice mode. I know it’s something so small and to many people it might sound insignificant but to a guy like me that likes to lay back and enjoy tv movies and PS4 after a long days work it means the world. Highly recommend :)

This remote works very well. There is no need to hook it up to your soundbar as it already hooks up automatically. It has all the same functions as the original remote. And the best part, it takes AAA batteries! So you don't need to buy those really expensive coin batteries. Overall, it is an excellent replacement remote.

I bought this remote after I thought I lost the original. This remote works good and is good value for the money. The original remote is a bit heavier and doesn’t have rubber buttons. This remote is a bit lighter and has rubber buttons (have to press a littler harder on the controls). Nonetheless, a good replacement.

This is a direct replacement for the Samsung sound bars. Out of the box it connected and controlled the bar with zero issues. All OEM functions are accurate. The button for lowering the volume could have been a little thicker to ease the use. The buttons are durable and are plastic as opposed to the original which are more flexible and rubbery feeling, better tactile feel.

This is the third replacement remote I’ve had for my Samsung sound bar (through no fault of my own). The first two replacement remotes were $26 each and stopped working after about six months. I’m so thankful to have found an inexpensive replacement and one that does not require a watch battery. All I had to do was put in two AAA batteries and it worked immediately. I also bought one for my sister and this was the first replacement remote that worked with her Samsung sound bar.
