Decent quality, basic pipe thermometer. I installed it in a 6-inch PVC pipe to monitor air flow temp. Easy to calibrate to known temperature. Has held up well in exterior use.

I purchased this item for use in a school garden program. It was obviously produced as a subunit for some commercial vessel as it has a substantial threaded stem just below the dial. The probe itself is about 4 inches long and is sturdy enough to use as a soil temp probe even though it is blunt on the end. We are using raised beds so the soil is quite loose. I wouldn't try to push this into a hard clay soil, but anything that is reasonably loose would be fine. I did a quick check on the accuracy by probing boiling water and an ice/water blend. It was accurate to within 1 degree F and was reproducible. The dial is large and easy to read and the entire unit appears and feels pretty "heavy duty".

Heavy duty unit that stands up the the uses with in the woodworking area. Stays put in the box and keeps a constant read out to avoid over pressurization

This item is as advertised in the description. The scale is adjustable and once adjusted repeats acridly. When ordering make sure you check the scale specifications on the model ordered, as there are three different scales available. I read in other reviews that people didn't receive the scale advertised. Maybe just an order mistake as it isn't clear that there is more than one scale unless you read the description carefully.

Works fine? I think it needs calibrated, before sale......

The only thing I should have done was covert the metric equivalent of the probe stem to inches da my fault.Still able to use it on another boiler so no big deal.I will be ordering another one soon only this time pay closer attention to the length of the stem.Thanks,Bob

According to the product description and image you get the following temperature range:Temp Range -20/120°C or 0 to 250°FIn reality you get a thermometer with a much larger temp range (10/260°C or 50/500°F). I specifically purchased this because of the lower temp range represented in the picture and description.To be fair, I noticed the product title mentioned a temp range of 10/260°C. Bottom line.......the picture and details are full of contradictions.I will have to return the product.Edit: Also, the description said the probe 4.2 inches. Actual length is 1 11/16 inches.

Short and simple it works. Spot on, no calibration needed. But has adjustments to calibrate if needed for some Reason.Only thing I didn't like was you have to buy the nut and washer to fit separate.
