Takes the guess work out of yoghurt making and more hygienic than sticking your finger in the milk. Clear and easy to use - can't go wrong really.

Great accuracy but you have to hold it while the milk is heated
Easy to use as it has a range best suited to yoghurt making but it could do with a clip to stay in the milk without having to hold the thermometer. But excellent value and accuracy.

Good thermometer for money
I used this to start my yoghurt making adventures. Works well but you soon get to know when the milk reaches temp visually. But it's always good to have around.

Quality control issue?
Thermometre at least 20 degrees C off the actual temp. Ruined two batches of yogurt trying to adjust and scalded my hand checking if it was really only 43degC and ready to go. My vintage one from the 50's yogurt maker I have used for many, many years is much better and while I thought it might not be accurate to the degree for using more sensitive lyophilised culture, it actually worked fine. This has cost me more in lost ingredients that the instrument itself. So much for thinking a modern one would be spot on!
