A quality wild bird feeder at a reasonable price. Construction is robust with a solid plastic (perspex?) tube rather than the flimsier flexible tubes found on some cheaper products. The top and base are metallic and 'chunky'. There are six feeding ports which is good, but the bottom two can easily get blocked. The problem is that smaller grains and dust naturally migrate to the bottom of the tube and become compressed, preventing any food from reaching these lower ports. This is a common with all such feeders, but the effect is slightly more pronounced on this high volume device due to the greater weight of food in the tube. Fortunately the bottom of the feeder although secure, disembles very easily (a bayonet type action) when necessary, to allow cleaning. The inbuilt feeding port perches are adequate and very similar to others, but I would recommend purchasing additional 'perch rings' which give birds a more stable hold whilst feeding. Two (only) are provided with the feeder, although additional rings can be purchased separately. If fitting these, note that they have a right and wrong way up which is not clearly obvious at first sight. Also they detach far too easily, so a small spot of superglue is recommended to hold them in place. Apart from the lack of a full set of perch rings (and their inherent instability without glueing), this is is a good well made feeder which takes a high volume (1.5 lires) of food. Be aware that it is quite heavy when full so needs a firm hanging point.

I paid £26.99 with Prime delivery for the Jacobi Ring Pull Pro Large Capacity Hanging Wild Garddn Bird Seed Feeder, Green.I bought this to replace my first basic 4 port Jacobi Jane Seed Feeder, which was of quite poor quility, difficult to clean, and barely made a year before the cheap plastic started splintering & breaking.The Pro feeder however is much stronger and higher quality - I guess it will last a good few years before Mother Nature takies her toll.This is a large feeder with 4 ports. However I wish I knew it would come with 2 additional clear Easy Fit perch rings, as I spent more money buying an extra 4 perches - when in fact it wasn’t needed.The birds took several days to accept the switch of feeder - though the new feeder quite closely resembled the old. Luckily they have all accepted it now.I’ve added the Jacobi Rain Guard as an extra (it gets a bit wet in Scotland!) which seems to help very well. The rain guard is a separate purchase though.Will report back back in time regarding longevit. For now, a happy purchase & upgrade on an old feeder.

Purchased this four port Jacobi Jayne feeder on Amazon ten months ago and having tried many various designs prior to this one, all of which were cheaper and without exception, suffered from rain ingress which resulted in spoilt seed. This has been the only one to pass with flying colours. The rain guard and additional small seed tray were purchased from a separate source but suffice it to say has been the only feeder proven to keep the seed dry in all types of weather this has been subject to over the last ten months of use. A clear winner with the rain guard attached and definitely worth the extra investment. Very easy to dismantle to clean. Don't skimp on the quality of seed you use and after a period of getting used to its presence in the garden the birds will reward you with their visitations. Full recommendation.

Good sturdy feeder and very easy to keep clean however the actual ring pull is plastic and very soon snapped when trying to re-insert it , now I use a metal skewer which works a treat and much stronger and easier to use. It's really good to see the feeders looking clean and healthy ... I have two now!

I have three of these feeders now, and the oldest I've had for five years. Can't fault the quality. Hard wearing and extremely easy to fully dismantle and clean. Can't rate them highly enough. Don't waste your money on the cheaper, flimsier versions from the same manufacturer.

The best bird feeder ever ! It wasn’t cheap but well worth the money. I’ve had loads of different feeders over the years from cheap to more expensive, but never one as good as this. I’d recommend the tray to go with it as it saves your lawn and no waste which means more for your birds

These are the best bird feeders I have ever bought. They are made of really good solid materials and are SO easy and quick to clean. It is so important to regularly clean bird feeders and it is a job I have hated doing as most feeders have various screws, bolts etc (which often come off and go missing) and it takes so much time and effort to take them appart and put them back together. Not anymore - this ingenious 'ring-pull' design means no more nuts and bolts, just one central pin to pull out and the whole thing comes apart for easy cleaning - fabulous. Thank you Jacobi Jayne.

When opened we found that there were four supports for bird platforms, but only two platforms to fit. I called Jacobi and told them. The said they only supplied two. What is the point of fitting four supports, and only suppling two platforms. Very disappointed . I noticed on the browsing history that the larger model has six supports and only threeplatforms. Very disappointed.
